Chapter 20: Broken Group (2/2)

You and everyone else had been cornered against a wall. Suddenly, a knife hit one of the zombies in the head, causing it to fall down. You look to your side and see that Core Chara had her hand out. She then wiped sweat off of her forehead and smiled at you.

"Nobody touches my senpai~"

You didn't know whether to be happy or scared...

At least you knew how to kill them. Everyone had begun to kill them, aiming for their heads. You summoned bones out of the ground, as well as sans. This immobilized the zombies, making them much easier targets than if they were moving. Once they were dead you and Sans retracted the bones into the ground.

You feel something grab your ankle, you looked down immediately seeing it was a zombie. It bit at your ankle but you kicked its head clean off before it could get a bite off of you.

You heard a loud zombie growl from behind you. You turn around to see a zombie almost entirely on you, until somebody puts a knife through the back of its skull. The zombie falls to the ground and reveals Underswap Chara. She had a serious face on.

You ran to assist Sans, but he was no where to be found. But, since he's a skeleton and doesn't have a soul he should be fine. (Sans and Papyrus actually don't have souls. For proof, kill them in the game. Do you see a soul shatter or appear at all after you kill them? No.)

You see Cross Chara summon her big knife and slice down a large group of zombies. Then, she simply became empty handed again. You were surprised on how much power she had. She turned to you and smiled.

"I think that's it." Core Chara says.

"Good. I don't want to kill anything again..." Underswap Chara says.

"I don't want to kill at all!" Storyswap Chara speaks up. You go over to her and give her a small hug. Sans then teleports in the middle of the group. He looks around and seems to relax himself.

"So we good?" He asked. Everyone nodded.

"Where to now Y/N? We lost two of out group members. Well... two of us... or... two us's?" Underswap Chara said.

"Eh.. who needs them." Core Chara says. "We can do fine on our own."

"What?!" Underswap Chara yells. "How could you say that?! They could be in danger!"

"So what. They left with their own free will." Core Chara makes a point. "If they felt as if they would be in danger and may need help, they would have stayed."

"But... still!" Underswap Chara argues. "We still need to do something! They are both out there in this messed up world and we need to find them and help them!"

Underswap started to look at everyone expecting somebody to agree with her. Unfortunately for her nobody spoke up. You didn't because you didn't want to get in the middle of a fight, and that you didn't want to waist time that you could be using to figure a way out of this world.

"F-fine then!" Underswap Chara yelled. "I'll go after them myself! I don't need any of you!"

Underswap Chara then ran off in the same direction that Classic Chara went in. You couldn't help but think, was she right? They could be in danger, dying as you spoke. This group... is falling apart... become more and more broken by the second.

"Y/N?" Storyswap Chara asks.

"Yes?"

"We should figure out a way to leave.. after all, when they come back. We will have to leave anyways." She says.

She had a point. You did need to find a way to leave for if Underswap Chara did bring back the rouge Charas.

Cross Chara suddenly snuggled to your side. You looked at her in confusion. She only blushed. "I-I'm cold... your warm..."

You smiled and said it was ok. Core Chara then came toward you three. "Who needs her anyways..." she mumbled to herself.

She suddenly stopped mumbling to herself and just stood there staring at you and the two Charas by your side. A look of jealousy was on her face, but she shook it off and looked fine again. She decided to sit next to Cross Chara and watch the clouds in the sky.

You hear snoring coming from your side. You look to she that Storyswap Chara had fallen asleep. You started to yawn as well.

Core Chara and Cross Chara looked at you and began to think of finding somewhere to sleep.

Sans suddenly teleported in front of you making you and the other two Chara's jump a bit. He said he sees Underswap Chara. You asked him if he could watch over her and make sure she stayed safe. He nodded to you and teleported away.

You spot a small metal building in the distance. Your curiosity overcame you and your urge to go see it took over. You picked up the sleeping Storyswap Chara bridal style and carried her to towards the small metal building.

There is a medium sized door as an entrance with a not on it. You take the note off and begin to read it. It's a letter.

I'm so sorry baby... I could not wait any longer. I hope you forgive me. I have waited for three weeks. Things have gotten worse here. Food is becoming scarce and water isn't to common. I am being forced to move to the next town where they are hopefully more people... and more chances of survival. I hope I see you there baby.....

You thought it was really sad. You didn't know how long this letter/note had been here, but you decided to put it back on the door anyways. You entered the metal building to find three small beds with a pillow and blanket on each, you immediately thought of "oh no".

The two Charas entered and saw only three beds for four people. They both looked at you for a response. You need to make a decision on whom your are sleeping with tonight.
