Murphy--- Does He Know❤

You'd been dating Alec for about a year on the Ark and got arrested together when you were caught taking extra rations for your sick neighbor.

As the drop ship landed you swore to stick by his side and protect him no matter what.

Then you met Murphy.

He made you question your loyalty to Alec.

A bit.

"Hey, I think I left an extra packet of vitamin rations in the drop ship. Mind getting them for me?" Alec interrupts the silence as you both remove nuts from their shells silently.

You look up and smile.

"Sure." You agree and your heart flutters before pressing a quick kiss to his cheek before leaving toward the drop ship.

You walk carefully through camp, a smile remains on your lips.

You enter, pushing aside the curtain and walking in.

Just as you take a second step, a hand grasps your wrist and spins you around, your back slamming into the wall of the drop ship.

You meet Murphy's eyes, lit with a spark of happiness.

"Hey beautiful." He smirks coyly, his hands on either side of your head pressed against the metal wall. Trapping you.

"Hey." You smile, your heart beating fast.

He'd been flirting with you for about two weeks after meeting you. You didn't mind though only had one person in mind. Alec.

"What brings you to the drop ship?" His voice is low and his eyes drop down and he bites his lower lips slightly.

"Alec sent me to grab a vitamin pack." You say truthfully with a slight breath to your voice, your eyes stuck on him.

"Mm..." He nods and leans to the left, letting you go.

You step aside as his hand lingers on your hand before you walk over to the side where there lay three vitamin rations in small bags.

As you pick them up, hands like snakes slither on your waist.
You drop the packs and press your hands to his and stop him.
Your smile fading as your mouth parts.

"Does he know..." he whispers in your right ear, his lips so close to your skin, leaving a trail of chills down your spine.

"Know what?" You hide the shake to your voice well.

"Does he know you'll never go back?" He speaks low and your heart beat quickens intensely.

You decide to smile and turn around in a flash, facing him.

"Go back?" You raise a questioning brow.

"Once you get a taste, you'll never even think his name again." His voice hangs in the air, his face is so close you feel the heat from his breath on your face and reality flashes back to you hard.

You can't do this.

You're 17. Not a child.

"I love him." Your smile falters and you turn away, grabbing the packs and leaving the drop ship.

Murphy sighs to himself and kicks a can that lay on the ground gently.

You return to Alec and hand him the packs.

"Took you a while, what happened?" Alec wonders with a smile that makes you smile yourself.

"Unity Day. It's crowded in there." You answer slyly but immediately feel bad for lying to the only person you have left.

You continue to your nuts as everyone around you prepares for Unity Day.

The sky is a dark black color and is lit up dimly by the few stars that lurk in the sky.

You sit comfortably next to Alec, his arm protectively wrapped around your shoulders in case a drunken Ark person gets too crazy.

You smile at the flickering fire that burns before you.

"Alec. Patrol." Bellamy motions to him with his hand which holds an apple.

"Ugh. Alright." Alec turns to you and kisses you sweetly before getting up to grab his gun and walks steadily toward Bellamy. "Watch her for me? She's all I have." Alec whispers to Bellamy and Bel nods, biting his apple as Alec walks off.

Bellamy disregards his question and walks off to see Clarke.

You sit happily to yourself as Jasper shares rounds with everyone, even yourself.

Bellamy drunkenly dances with Clarke and Bree.

You decided to have one more drink, still sober.

But buzzed.

You get up and decide to dance along with Jasper and Monty.

You laugh and do crazy stupid dance moves.

Everyone else slowly disperses but there are at least 10 of you left dancing.

Clarke leans on Bellamy, her eyes closed, a smile on her lips as he sways softly.

Jasper and Monty drunkenly hug Raven together, and Finn and Bree dance together at a slow lace as well.

"Hey." A voice you recognize speaks. You tiredly lean on the comforting voice and assume it's Alec.

"Hey." You yawn with a smile as his strong arms embrace you gently.

You furrow your brows.

Alec is strong but not...

"Murphy?" You wonder and you feel his heart skip a beat.
He doesn't answer but you don't move.

He sways copying the way Bellamy and Clarke do and everything feels alright.

As if there was no such thing as a grounder, starvation, Alec...

Alec.

You flutter your tired eyes open and look up into his eyes which are already staring back.

"I want you so bad." He whispers almost sadly.

You take a moment and stare into his beautiful eyes.

You decide to give in and stand on your tippy toes to press a soft kiss to his lips.

You tiredly lean back against him, ignoring the amazing feeling that small kiss brought you.

"Happy Unity Day, Murphy." You yawn.

He smiles wide, knowing that even though he now knows you care, you'll return to Alec.
And he understands.

But one day.
Maybe.

As the night continues on, you wake up again and start dancing again with Murphy after everyone around you had fallen asleep.

You both wore smiles the entire night and now, as you wake up next to Alec in your tent, your cheeks ache.

And yet a smile spreads across them again anyways after you hear a happy whistle outside the tent.
