Dean could tell that Naomi's torture affected Castiel more than he was letting on. The Winchesters decided to go to bed, and Cass crawled into bed next to Dean. Dean held Cass protectively in his arms, and the angel was watching over Dean. He was being too quiet, though. Usually they talked until sleep overcame Dean and he could no longer concentrate or form coherent words. Now they both lay awake. Dean waited for sleep to take him away.
When Dean woke up the next morning, Cass was still next to him. He rolled over to face the angel and kissed him softly. Then his head automatically tucked into the crook of Castiel's neck. "Did Sammy go to get breakfast?" Dean asked sleepily.
"Yes, he should be back soon." Cass' arms were around Dean. Dean could feel Cass' fingers tracing lazy shapes onto his back.
"Cass, you okay?" Dean asked worriedly.
"No." Cass' answer was blunt.
"Is there anything I can do to help you?" Dean sat up in the bed.
"Just, please, stay with me." Cass took Dean's hand into his own.
"Of course. I love you, Cass." Dean pulled the angel closer and engulfed him into a hug.
"I love you too, Dean. No matter what happens, I will always love you." Castiel buried his face into the crook of Dean's neck.
Suddenly, Sam opened the motel room door, holding a fast food bag. He avoided looking over at Dean's bed as he set the food on the table. "Food's here," he said awkwardly. Dean and Castiel separated and walked over to the table. Dean was handed a breakfast sandwich as he took a seat at the table. "So, what are we going to do about Naomi?"
"We'll figure something out," Dean said with his mouth full.
"She's going to come back for me eventually. She wants to kill me, or take my grace away. She'll do something," Cass volunteered.
"I'm not letting her take you," Dean said protectively.
"Dean, there's nothing you can do. If she wants me, she's going to take me."
"She'll have to take me, too."
Sam interrupted the argument, "Actually, that's not half bad."
"I'm not letting that happen! She'll kill Dean."
"And?" asked Dean.
Cass put his head in his hands, "I'm not letting you go in there and get yourself killed."
"Cass, we'll be fine."
"We?"
"Yeah, you, me, and Sam. Team Free Will. We'll kill her, together. And you'll be free."
Cass looked at the two Winchesters, who were both smiling reassuringly at him. He knew there was no arguing with them once they set their minds to something. He gave in.
