Praying That You Find Us

She heard the door when it closed. Even though she'd never been a hard sleeper, she refused to go to sleep when she felt that her children were in danger.

Emily knew that Maya was not the same girl that she loved so many years ago. In her place was a deranged woman, focused on revenge. The look in Maya's eyes made her sick to her stomach and all she wanted to do was get away from her and never see her again. Unfortunately, she had yet to see a way to escape.

She felt Lily move against her chest and begin to whimper. She rubbed the little girl's back, while kissing on her forehead making "shhh" sounds. She had to figure something out before Maya got back or she had a feeling, they would be taking a trip far, far away.

She'd heard Maya on the phone. Asking someone to help her disappear. She already knew they were away from Rosewood. She just didn't know how far.

She'd tried finding her cellphone one day when Maya had gone to the store. It was to no vail. She couldn't find it anywhere. She knew that if it was at least around and on, Caleb could help track the signal to the nearest receptor. But she wasn't confident that it was a possibility at this point.

Looking around, she longed for some way to communicate. At first glance, there was nothing around the room that would help her out. Then she saw it. Some way, Maya had gotten her hands on Lily and Grace's baby bag and she remembered the location chip that Alison had placed on the girl's bag.

Alison wanted it on there just in case they ever left it somewhere, the device would send a notification to their phones, giving them a location ding on google maps. She felt a small gust of adrenaline as she reached for the bag. Sure enough, there it was. Looking like a small button at the bottom of the bag. She pressed it and prayed that Alison had juice on her phone.

She heard the door open and close and put the bag back over in the corner where it was before. She then picked Lily back up and laid back down in the bed, pretending to once again be asleep. Praying that someone would find them soon.

She heard a lock untwist and unhinge before the swooshing of the door opening. A small line of light came into the room before it was gone again. Maya once again took her seat in the chair at the foot of the bed, not noticing Emily's eyes on her.
