US Women's National Team head coach Laura Harvey released her roster for the team's July training camp and friendlies against Spain, on July 16 in Harrison, NJ and July 19 in Philadelphia.
"For the July camp, I have chosen to give a number of players a respite from the grind of national team and club matches while seeking to focus on determining my 23-player roster for World Cup qualifying in November. There are certain positions that we lack some depth at among our top 15 or 16 players, so figuring out who can play at this level at those positions will be a priority in training and in our matches against Spain."
Six players will attend their first-ever national team camp (EJ Proctor, Carson Pickett, Kassey Kallman, Caprice Dydasco, Kristen McNabb, Vanessa DiBernardo) while 14 players who have been regular call-ups in the past were left off the roster.
Goalkeepers - Katelyn Rowland (Los Angeles Olympias), Adrianna Franch (Portland Thorns), Abby Smith (Washington Spirit), EJ Proctor (Atlanta Storm)
Defenders - Cari Roccaro (Chicago Red Stars), Christina Gibbons (Portland Thorns), Kristie Mewis (Chicago Red Stars), Megan Oyster (Boston Breakers), Carson Pickett (Seattle Reign), Kassey Kallman (North Carolina Courage), Caprice Dydasco (Philadelphia Charge), Arin Gilliland (Chicago Red Stars), Kristen McNabb (Seattle Reign)
Midfielders - Danielle Colaprico (Chicago Red Stars), Andi Sullivan (Houston Dash), Ashley Sanchez (Los Angeles Olympias), Morgan Andrews (Boston Breakers), Meggie Dougherty Howard (Washington Spirit), Daphne Corboz (Portland Thorns), Sarah Killion (Sky Blue FC), Vanessa DiBernardo (Chicago Red Stars)
