What GMs Hath Brought Together

During the international break, Kasey, Kelsey, and Tori acclimated themselves to the greater Raleigh area and their new club's training facility, with Michaela acting as tour guide. After a few days together, Tori decided that tonight would be the time to talk with their new teammate about her becoming part of their squad and how it would operate. After discussing this with the other two, she asked Kassey to invite her friend and the woman who is crushing on her to dinner at Bloomsbury Bistro. Michaela came over to their new place and the four sat down to have this talk before heading out.

Tori: Michaela, you're probably wondering why we asked you out for a fancy dinner. As you know, the three of us are a triad. It's great in that I love both of them and they in turn love one another. There are some times, however, where being a threesome in public is difficult. When we saw how you flirted with Kassey on our trip here a few weeks ago, it was a bit of a shock. Upon learning that our two clubs were talking about a trade with each other, we went to our general manager to tell her about our relationship. We worked to have her keep all three of us together and eventually the deal was done. All of this is to say that we would like to have you be a part of our relationship.

Michaela scratched at the back of her neck, feeling a little uncomfortable. "So we would be a foursome? Like swapping partners and getting down with everyone in it?"

Kelsey: It wouldn't be as lewd as you're describing it, Mic. When you were at Tori's apartment after the game on Saturday and the four of us were fooling around with one another, you got a glimpse I hope of what it would look like. There would be SOME underlying commitment to the individuals in it, but not the exclusivity you find in a two-person relationship.

Tori: The purpose of tonight's dinner, as well as the "Fast Five" the two of us did on the drive down on Monday is to figure out what pairings are compatible beyond the bedroom and how best to pair up when it's necessary. It seems to us that Kelsey and Kassey already have a heart-level commitment in place, so it's now about whether you and I can co-exist with that in the center and whether we might end up wanting to be a couple down the line.

Michaela: This is all so sudden and a huge request on your parts. I DO like Kassey in a non-friend way, and I loved being intimate with you and Kelsey on Saturday. That kiss you gave me after we pulled off the road on the trip back here, I got that sort of sick feeling like when you hit the drop on a roller coaster. I'm willing to try, but it might take a while for me to be able to gravitate away from Kassey as my link to all of you.

Kassey: We planned for that to be the case, that you would join us initially as my sidechick and then I'd provide you space to get to know the others, especially Tori, better. Kelsey's fine with it, since I'm already banging Tori along with her, and Tori wants me to be happy with how things exist in our collective relationship.

Michaela: I'm in.

Kelsey: We better leave soon to make our dinner reservation.

The four stood up, with them each exchanging kisses with the others before leaving the apartment. After dinner, they came back and started to work through the boundaries and emotions of this new relationship dynamic.

The Mewker Wedding Committee held their monthly confab in Steph and Danielle's room since the forward was still on camp restriction for another night. With most of the contingent in one place, it was a short meeting as the group in Portland had already weighed in with one another on the agenda. The time difference between Portland and the east coast meant that it was close to 11pm when the meeting broke up, causing Yael to ask Steph if she could stay over rather than drive home. Her girlfriend consented, of course, and the two of them disappeared into Steph's room. After changing into one of Steph's national team t-shirts and a pair of boxers, Yael crawled into bed, with Steph sliding up behind her, her hands on the growing bump where their daughter was resting. Steph kissed the back of Yael's neck and whispered loving words into her ear, so happy to be with the woman she loves without worrying about having to hide it. As they snuggled closer, their breathing began to become more shallow and they fell asleep.
