An exhausted Carli Lloyd started off Tuesday morning by making several phone calls to fill in her fellow Jersey Girls on the current state of affairs back home.

Heather O'Reilly: Carli! What's up?

Carli: It's Cap. There's not much they're able to do right now to keep the tumors from spreading. She has decided to request hospice care at home for whatever is left.

Heather: Understandable. I know she wouldn't want to die in a hospital or a hospice facility. Any idea how long we're talking?

Carli: Hospice can be a month, it could be just a few days. If you want to see and talk to her before she goes, you best get up here now.

Heather: Have you told anyone else yet?

Carli: You were my first call. The next two are to Yael and Tobin, then Becky and Kate.

Heather: I'll be up sometime today. Can't say when, but I'll call you from the airport when I have particulars.

Carli: Either I or Jill will meet you there. I'm hoping most if not all of you will be here today or tomorrow and that Christie is still with us when you all arrive. Love you, Hayo.

Heather: Love you too, Los.

After getting the call from Carli, Yael contacted John and Lee with the news and told them that she would be leaving sometime this morning for Jersey. After that, she called Heather and they coordinated their flights to meet at the Newark airport and together depart for New Brunswick. Heather was scheduled to arrive at 11:17am from Raleigh/Durham, with Yael getting in at 12:13pm from Boston.

Once checked in and settled at the airport, Yael called Steph to fill her in.

Steph (slightly groggy): Hi hun!

Yael: I hope I didn't wake you.

Steph: No. Just haven't been downstairs yet to get some coffee into my system. Everything OK with the baby and its mama?

Yael: Nothing different than yesterday with Debs, but mama isn't doing well. Carli called and Cap is on her last legs. I'm at Logan waiting for a flight to Newark where Heather and I will meet up at the airport and head down to New Brunswick to see her.

Steph: Give her my love as well as Rylie and Reece. How is Carli handling it?

Yael: Fairly well, but she's been there now for a couple of months and has seen the downhill slide she's taken. I'm sure when the several of us that Carli's calling today get there, the scene will be a lot different. I just hope that this on top of Anson's death doesn't create a problem for the baby. I asked Sara at yesterday's appointment about getting something to help me boost my mood. She said that she could prescribe me an anti-depressant and I told her that I'd take her up on it if things hadn't improved between now and your returning from camp. Once I got off the phone with Heather, I called her and had her send in a script for one, which I picked up on my way to the airport.

Steph: Be careful with them, love. You might not feel great right away and they're not a drug you take on an as-needed basis. Once you start on one, you have to ride out the gradual boost and then keep taking them to stay there before tapering off over time. You're probably going to need to be on them for the rest of the pregnancy if the general three-month cycle is being followed.

Yael: I'm glad you've been down this road before. Well, not glad in the sense that I would want you to have depression, but glad in that you can help me in dealing with this.
