*Reader's POV*
The rain soon turned into nothing more than a light shower as I walked into the woods, silently following the heat signatures of the fallen Dark Guild Members. I needed to calm myself down and healing was the only way to get my mind of what I had just done. One by one I treated the wounds of the fallen while they remained unconscious. When that was done I walked deeper into the woods until I reached a cliff edge and sat down. I listened of the waves crashing against the rocks and watched the waves toss and turn.
"I've been wondering about a few things" a familiar voice said behind me. "And that is?" I asked. "Why Deliora didn't smash you back at the cave, and why Gemini couldn't copy you. Then there's the fact that whenever you summon a large amount of magic your eyes turn black" he stated. I looked at the waves and said "Gemini couldn't copy me because I was genetically created in a lab with a specific gene pool, with a special purpose in mind. I was created to be a weapon of destruction, to create chaos and death. I was the intended Bride of the immortal mage Zeref. The reason Deliora didn't smash me was because of the blood that created him and the Lullaby helped create me as well."
"And your eyes?" he asked. "Is a side effect of the dark magic that exists within me. When I lost my arm, I thought that I had lost he ability to control black magic, but I can still feel the evil twisting inside my veins. Every time I use black magic, or do something destructive thee is a risk that I will awaken the darkness inside. That's why I refuse to learn and use offensive magic, I can't risk losing myself to the evil that rests in my soul" I answered. "How are you able to use the arm so naturally? It responds and moves like it's a part of you, like it's alive" he asked.
"That's because it is. After creating the arm I infused it with a spell called Living Magic. This spell brings life into any object I desire, and allowed me to use it as if it was just another limb that grew along with me" I replied. "And the spell you used to destroy Nirvana?" Lyon asked. "The spell I used was similar to that of Iced Shell except more dangerous. The spell is called and Iced Ankhseram shell, a deadly combination of Iced Shell and a spell called Ankhseram Black Magic. Ankhseram allows the user to kill any living thing that the user desires. Both require a life in exchange to fully activate, and I protected you and the others in cocoons" I answered.
"That's why the trees, and the grass were dying. You protected us from becoming the life in exchange for the spell to work. But if the dark magic allows the user to kill any living thing how does that affect Nirvana?" he stated. "As a healer I believe that magic is a living thing, especially when it shares our bodies. My belief was reinforced when Nirvana came alive, and knew that my spell would work" I said. "Does anybody know this spell?" he asked. I shook my head and said "No, the spell is of my own personal design. It was created in secret long before I became a healer, and was never written down, and the knowledge of that power will die with me."
He remained silent until he said "We should head back to Cait Shelter." I nodded and stood. We walked back to the Shelter side by side neither of us breaking the silence. Eventually we reached the shelter and came face to face with a naked Gray. I blinked in surprise then began to laugh at the others startled expressions. "Even though I'm personally enjoying the sight in front of me, I don't think Wendy would understand. So with that thought in mind I'm sadly going to have to ask you to put your trunks back on" I sated calmly.
Gray blinked then with a straight face asked "Do you think I could borrow your underwear?" I raised a brow at his request and said "Does it look like I'm wearing underwear, and even if it did I wouldn't let you borrow them." The other's burst out laughing as he walked away to find his swimming trunks. The moment he left Wendy appeared and body slammed into me giving me a rib crushing hug. "I thought that you weren't going to come back" she said. "And why would you think that?" I asked as I placed my hands on her shoulders.
"If you were planning on coming back why did you leave in the first place?" she stated. I gave her a smile and said "I'm a healer, and I did what I did best. I was tending the wounded Dark Guild Members." Then she caught sight of my arm and I tried to hide it behind me when she took my hand and began to examine it. I let her flip my hand over and move my fingers. When she was satisfied she asked "What happened?" "As a child I got lost in the snow and ice, and my guardian Porlyusia had to remove it because of the nasty frostbite I had received" I answered softly. "Why do you hide it?" she asked. "My prosthetic sometimes makes the people around me uncomfortable" I replied.
"Did it hurt?" she asked as her hand clutched my icy fingers even tighter. I shook my head and said "No I didn't feel a thing. But not once have I regretted Porlyusia's decision." "Why not?" she asked. Carefully I wrapped my icy fingers around hers and said "At a certain time in my life the magic I possessed in my hands was intended to destroy and create chaos, with the loss of my arm it allowed me the chance to change my future rather than live the life that had been intended for me. So far nothing in this world has come close to the absolute joy I feel every time my hands are used to heal and to protect those around me. And for that I could never be sorry."
She smiled at me as she gently squeezed my fingers then dashed to the pool where Sherry and the guys were. I smiled as I walked over towards Lucy and Erza and laid down o the blanket beside them. I was watching the clouds in the sky when Erza nudged my hand. I turned to look at her and she mentioned something about a first kiss. I blinked at her and Lucy and said "My first kiss?" When they nodded I shrugged and blandly replied "Haven't had it, but as far as I'm concerned that doesn't mean that I'm saving it for anyone or anything special. I just don't have the time or the interest to act on or indulge my curiosity. I don't understand why girls fantasize about their first kiss, not like it's super romantic....it's just a meeting of lips between two people, I can understand a setting being romantic, but not a kiss."
They gave me a shocked look and Lucy asked "Don't you meet guy's everyday?" "Yes I see and meet guy's every day but I've never really had an interest in any of them, let alone a love interest. Trust me there's nothing remotely interesting about tending the sick or wounded, and certainly nothing romantic in changing bedpans, dirty bandages, healing infected wounds or removing a limb. So I mean what does love got to do with anything" I stated logically. "What about the guy's?" asked Erza. "What about them?" I asked. "What do you think of them?" Lucy asked.
I blinked and said "I can't deny that Gray's anatomy is beautiful, or the way Natsu eats is charming in its own way, or that the Trimens are handsome in a roguish player kind of way, and that Lyon is both physically and intelligently handsome. But in my opinion one probably wouldn't like the sweets I make and is a love interest of a very close friend, the other would accidently burn my home down then roast hotdogs and marshmallows over the dwindling flames, the other 3 I wouldn't be able to leave them on their own for long before they sought for or attracted attention, and the last is also a love interest of another friend of mine, and it's because they are the only options so far that I'd rather keep to myself."
"Seems to me that Sherry's making the moves on another guy" Erza stated. I shrugged and said "So what if Sherry's interested in another male? Doesn't mean I'm interested enough to go make a move on Lyon." "But you've spent the most time alone with him, and you find him attractive" Lucy stated. "Because of human nature I find all of them attractive. Lyon is physically and intelligently handsome, which is a fact NOT a sign of interest" I said as I closed my eyes. "But you must admit that if you had the chance you'd be perfect for each other" Lucy stated.
My eyes popped open as I met her mischievous smirk before saying "Even if I wanted to make a move I wouldn't be able to because of the simple fact that I'm intended for another man. I do not need or want the kind of publicity that would no doubt happen as a result of becoming involved with a Guild Member which is the same thing I told him when he asked." They fell silent and I once again closed my eyes, only for them to pop open the moment I felt someone grab my ankles and toss me into the water.
I tried to swim back to the top but my arm was so heavy and it was like I was swimming upstream or sinking in quicksand. My chest burned as I finally hit the bottom. I smacked the back of my head on something and the last thing I saw was the last of my air floating to the tiny opening above me. Ice cold water filled my mouth, going down my throat as my vision went black.
