~*3 Weeks Later*~
Everyone who had ever been in Y/N's path was worried at her sudden disappearance. She wasn't at home or at any of the other Guilds. She wasn't out doing a quiet mission, and Porlyusia wasn't telling anybody anything, chasing off anybody who dared to stand on her doorstep off with her broom. But I knew that Porlyusia had Y/N here, because Juvia had confessed that she had found Y/N and had taken her here at her insistence. So here I was standing outside the elderly woman's home ignoring the broom she was brandishing.
When I didn't immediately leave she shot me a glare. "I know she's here, Juvia told me that she brought her here a few days ago. I need to see her, to make sure that she's alright" I stated. The woman met my determined gaze and sighed before letting me in. She lead me to a room and there on the bed was Y/N. I rushed towards her side and touched her skin. She was sleeping, and her skin was ice cold and clammy with sweat. She panted for breath as she shifted away from me like my light touch had burned her.
I threw off the blanket only briefly registering her naked form underneath. Her tattoos were pitch black, and her prosthetic was almost completely made of black ice. "Tell me what happened" I demanded. Porlyusia wrung her hands and said "When the Water Mage brought her here she was muttering about how a man had infected her with a spell, one that was slowly killing her. She told me that she killed the man that had killed her. I've done my best to halt the process, but since I don't understand the nature of the magic that's killing her I have no way to treat it. I've come to the conclusion that the prosthetic needs to be removed, but I have nothing that'll break through the ice."
"What will happen if we don't remove it by the time it reached her collar bone?" I asked. "She'll either die, or become nothing more than a weapon, one that will replace the healer I've raise or the woman you love" Porlyusia answered. I nodded and said "I'll do it, for her I'll do anything." Then I summoned an Ice-Make: Sword, the moment I raised it above my head Y/N opened her eyes. Her eyes were red with black rings around the pupils, she weakly extended her prosthetic and turned her head as tears filled her eyes.
I brought the sword down and the clash of shattering ice echoed in the room.
*Reader's POV*
I woke up several days later and discovered Lyon sitting in a chair beside me. When he noticed that I was awake he set aside the book he was reading and placed a glass of water against my lips and helped me drink. When I had my fill he helped me sit up in the bed, as he offered me a bowl of soup. As he fed me he asked "What happened that night? Why did you leave?" Silently I chewed on the piece of meat in my mouth as he patiently waited for my answer. When I swallowed I softly replied "I saw Zeref in the woods that night. The vortex I had created was a failed attempt at getting away from him, not you."
"Failed attempt?" he asked as he fed me another spoonful. I nodded and said "Somehow he had manipulated the vortex and when I stepped into his dungeon I blacked out." He continued to feed me and as my gaze wandered to the object hidden in my hand I remembered what happened afterward.

!Water work Warning!
"I woke up strapped to a chair and soon noticed Zeref sitting at the table watching me. "Imagine my surprise that someone I had created, someone that I loved wore something I had created so long ago" he stated. "I wear nothing of yours" I said softly since my throat was dry. He nodded towards the Flavorn and said "A long time ago during a sentimental period of mine, I created 2 sets of armbands similar to the one your wearing now. They're purpose was to protect the wearer from being infected by the evil within the underworld. Now because you only possess one of them the protection spell etched into the band isn't complete, and cannot protect you from the punishment that your about to receive for betraying me."
"But I never betrayed you" I weakly protested. He stood and approached me, angrily he jerked my head back by my hair and said "You knew that you were mine, yet you willingly betrayed me by falling in love with another." His grip tightened making tears spring to my eyes as he said "Maybe I should remind you of who owns you my love." He slammed his lips on mine and as he kissed me I felt him infecting me with a slow form of Ankhseram Black Magic. I felt it settle within my body as he pulled away and said "Now as much as I'd love to stay and watch I have someone to take care of. I'll be the first thing you see when I revive you."
He caressed my face and whispered "My perfect little doll I can't wait till we can play with the world together." When he left I watched the Black Magic slowly begin to travel up my prosthetic fingers towards my hand. He had created demons to watch my every move, and I had no chance of ever escaping him a second time. As I watched it slowly crawl up my hand I heard a commotion outside the room. Immediately the door opened and Zeref stepped back inside. He gave me a smile and said "Change of plans love, it seems that a lovely Water Mage has arrived to steal you away." He stepped towards me and untied me, he held me close to his chest and lovingly asked me to create a vortex out of here. I met his gaze and said "There's a price that has to be paid before I can summon a vortex for you." He gave me a confused look and I swallowed and said "I would like a kiss, in exchange for a vortex."
He smiled and pulled me closer and said "Maybe I won't have to revive you after all." He slowly lowered his head and I closed my eyes as his lips touched mine. While he kissed me, I summoned the power within my body as my skin tingled. Using the connection he had to the demon's that watched from the shadows I bound them to the spell I was summoning. I knew the moment he felt the spell take effect as he pushed me away. The ice with pulsing black veins crawled up his feet all the way up his body as the demons around us screeched in agony.
His red gaze met mine as he demanded me to release him from the spell I had created. I wrapped my arms around my belly and said "Once the spell has been casted it can't be undone, how does it feel Zeref? Can you feel the demons you created fading to feed the spell that traps you? Do you finally understand what betrayal feels like?" His red gaze widened returning to their normal black when I said "The moment I took my first breath I loved you, cherished you, I held you close to my heart. But the feelings I had weren't the feelings you wanted, you wanted more than what I could give you. You wanted me to become something I wasn't, you took away my freedom, away my rights as a person, the right to chose the path I wanted to follow."
The ice crawled up his torso as he jerked the pendent off his neck and tossed it to me. I caught it, he gave me a soft smile and just before the ice covered his mouth he said "I'm sorry." The moment I fell to the ground the ice started cracking, before it exploded completely destroying the man I had seen as my older brother. I opened the pendent and inside I discovered 2 small pictures. One was a childhood picture of him and his younger brother, and the other was of us in the garden. I don't know how long I cried, but when I stopped the spell had already traveled up passed my elbow. The door opened and when I looked up my slightly puffy eyes landed on Juvia standing in the door opening.
She rushed towards my side and pulled me into her embrace as I sobbed. She soothed me the only way a best friend could, and when the tears stopped she said "You and Juvia need to go now. Can you create a vortex to the guild?" I shook my head and said "I need to go to Porlyusia's house." She nodded and said "Juvia will make sure you get there then." I summoned a vortex and the both of us stepped through."
