*Reader's POV*
Later that night after sundown I met Lyon at the same place by the old oak tree. The wind turned cold the moment the sun went down, but it was the cold light in his eyes that made me shiver. He removed jacket and I removed the shawl that I had gotten from the Nirvit. He removed his pants and stood in his underwear, and with a raised brow silently asked me to do the same. I met his dark gaze and said "When I train by myself I train naked, and with Juvia I'm in my bikini, since I can do neither you'll have to train me as I am."
He eyed the clothing I wore which was a white off the shoulder belly shirt with ruffled edges and a dark blue skirt edged with white ruffles that stopped several inches from the top's of my white knee high boots. "Boots off" he said and I sat down on the grass and pulled them off. When I stood the grass beneath my feet was cold and wet with dew. I walked closer towards him and then he took my hands and began to teach me. He first taught me Ice-Make: Clone, correcting my hands and my body's positions from time to time until I got it right. Nothing was said between us the entire time he taught me.
When I successfully completed Ice-Make: Clone, he told me what he knew about Ice-Make: Diamond Cage and Prison. The Diamond Cage was a spell he used on an enemy that destroyed the targets body with a diamond-sided ice sphere, while the Prison was a spell that created a cage to trap one's opponents. Then he stood aside and watched in fascination as I combined the two spells to form an Ice-Make: Diamond Prison, which was a diamond-sided square cage that allowed me to trap and block off multiple opponents without damage.
However when he began to teach me Ice-Make: Fireworks he took the opportunity to move closer. He stood behind me, his body warming my own as he cupped his hands around my own. The wind turned colder but I didn't notice it when a small butterfly erupted out of my hands to shoot towards the sky. It burst apart and filled the sky with perfect snowflakes. "The snow is so pretty from down here" I said in awe.
Lyon's breath was hot on my skin as he asked "What's the reason behind your obsession with snow?" Still watching the fireworks I replied "Back when I was forced to learn the Black Arts, I was kept in isolation and was only able to watch it rain and snow through the bars across my window. The only time I was allowed out was when Zeref my intended lead me to the garden to teach me. To me the rain, snow and ice are the only things that are truly free in this world. They are the only things that remain beautiful, still pure and untainted from the evil all around us. I like the way the rain feels on my skin, and the way that snow melts when I touch it fascinates me. I enjoy the way the snow and ice crunches beneath my feet. It reminds me that I'm still alive and free, not in that cold dark room surrounded by bars and pain."
"Pain?" he asked. "Zeref was the one who designed me, who gave me his blood, the one who breathed life into me the same way I breathed life into you. He taught me, guided me, molded me into what he thought would be a perfect match for him, and when I realized that he wanted me to be his wife it cut me deeper than anything I've ever felt. It hurt, that someone I had once deeply cherished and held close to my heart like a brother wanted me to be nothing more than what he created. I needed more than that, wanted more than the path he had chosen for me" I replied as the snowflakes faded.
"And what did you want?" he asked. I stepped away from his embrace and when to put my boots back on when I said "Look I asked you to be my teacher because I wanted to learn from you, not because I wanted something more or to tell you every secret or my every hope and dream." I had just grabbed one of my boots, when he grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him. "And if I wanted something more?" he demanded his eyes dark with emotion. "I'd say that your out of luck since I don't. Zeref's blood prevents me from tapping into any strong emotions without activating the blood within me, I wouldn't be able to give you what you wanted and you deserve better than that" I said struggling against his chest.
The arm around me tightened as a hand cradled the back of my neck, pulling me even closer. Immediately his lips slanted over mine as he kissed me. His lips were soft and warm against my own. My body heated under his hands, as my hands stilled on his bare chest. My heart pounded hard and fast within my chest. The blood in my veins turned to lava as the kiss escalated. A hand slid down to cup my rear, his hand hot through the thin material I wore as his tongue invaded my mouth. His fingers tightened around the back of my neck as he tipped my head back and to the side as he began to nibble and kiss the column of my throat.
The air turned freezing cold as my heart pounded as the hand on my rear gently glided up my ribcage to brush against my breast, the skin underneath my skirt felt as if his touch had burned me. My hands clutched his shoulders pulling him even closer when I noticed something glinting in the woods. There in the darkness stood a figure and my blood turned cold when Zeref stepped into the moonlight. No matter how many years that had passed he still looked the same. He still wore dark blue robes with gold trim that remained open at his throat revealing some of his chest, with baggy pants underneath stuffed into black calf high boots.
The flowing white toga that was draped over his torso shown bright in the light, the pendent he wore around his neck once again glittered in the light. He still had short black hair, but his eyes were no longer black but were instead red with a black ring around the pupils. I bit my lip and I gave a startled cry of pain when my sharp canine drew blood. Immediately I shoved Lyon away, grabbed my boots and fled through a hastily made vortex.
*Lyon's POV*
She created the perfect clone under my instruction. I watched in awe as she took two separate spells to create one perfect one, one that completely eliminated the damage to one's opponent. However I soon gave in to the urge to get close enough to catch the scent of her favorite soap. I ended up not only close enough to breath in her scent but to touch her skin as I helped her form a butterfly shaped firework. When it exploded I was watching her and the awed look on her face rather than the snowflakes in the sky.
I learned a bit more about her past while she was distracted by the snow. I felt her pain and wanted to do nothing more than to erase it. I wanted to learn everything about her, wanted something more. She refused to tell me more but by her stiff movements I knew that she wanted someone of her own, someone who would lover her and help protect her from the evil she thought she possessed. I impulsively grabbed her and for a few moments registered that her skin had a slight chill to it, as she turned down my words with a certain coldness in her voice. I sensed her trying to distance herself from me and the things she revealed and I kissed her.
Her skin warmed underneath my fingers, as her heart beat against my chest. The kiss was sweeter than candy, and hotter than any fire I had ever felt before. I felt nothing but her, and heard nothing but the wind in my ears. As he body grew hotter the wind turned colder around us, and when I pulled away when I heard her small cry of pain I noticed that her eyes were red and that her canines were sharper than normal. I saw a small dot of blood on her lip and when I went to kiss it away she pushed me aside, grabbed her boots and vanished through a portal.
The moment she vanished the air grew warmer and I stood there panting for breath, suddenly wishing that I had went after her. A low whistle sounded from the trees and Gray stepped out as he said "Seems that you've been rejected." "Something wasn't right, her eyes were different and her teeth were sharp enough to draw blood. The look in her eyes wasn't of rejection, it was of fear. She must have seen something that sent her scrambling to get away, but what?" I stated.
