Chapter 3: Friends?

Jade's POV:

Two. Two more minutes and I'm out of this class.

tap.

'huh?'

tap. tap.

I looked up and met my eyes with the most prettiest grey ones I have ever seen in my entire life.

'Damn those are some pretty eyes.'

"Well thanks, I think you're the first one to notice my eye color." the pretty girl smiled.

"Ah, shit that was meant to be in my head. Sorry if I creep you out or anything." I gave her a small nod and a smile.

"No, no, it's alright!" she laughed a pretty laugh.

'well she seems nice.'

"Aww thanks!" She giggled

"Ah shit, that was supposed to be in my head I'm sorry." I apologized again.

"It's okay! My name is Lacey, Lacey Trent." she finished off with a breathtaking smile

"Cool, I'm Jade, Jade Marie Dawson but you could call me Jade, Jay or whatever you like." I smiled a bigger smile at her this time.

"Nice! You can call me Lace if you would like!" She said with a gentle nod.

"Yea, sure." I smiled back at her..

*rrrrrringgg*

'There goes the bell, finally time for practice.'  i thought to myself as I start gathering my things and walking out of class as soon as the teacher dismissed us. 

"Hey!Jade! Wait up!" A girl screamed out my name attracting a few people's attention.

I  turned around and saw Lacey, " Hey Lacey, whats up?" I smiled at her.

"Hey,just wanted to know if you would like to hang sometimes?" She asked with a touch of hope glistening in her eyes. Come on, who could resist her face? She looks like the most adorable puppy anyone could ever ask for.

"Yea sure! Sounds cool." I nodded at her and smiled.

"Yea, cool! I'll see you tomorrow! Bye Jade!!" She said and finished off with a smile. Before I could even say a word , she had spun around and ran off to the other direction. Shaking my head while chuckling to myself , I made my way into the gym.

I entered only to see my team setting up the nets and poles for practice 

"Jade!" Beddy called out, he was the most talented out of everyone on this team, I admit , he is so much better than me but I don't understand why coach would make me captain when there was Beddy. There was no girl players as all the girls in school were too scared to cut their nails for this sport and to sacrifice their energy for shopping on drills. That makes me the only representation of the girls team and since I was stronger than most of the boys, I was placed in tournaments filled with guys instead of girls. 

"Hey, everyone's here?" I asked Beddy and he nodded giving me the smile all boys would kill for and all girls would die for, sadly for Beddy it does not affect me,

"Beddy, you of all people should know that your smile does not work on me and no we are not skipping suicides today. It is good for the team to be in shape before BCFS and you know that." I said with a sigh and a sad smile. He sighed and shrugged 

Jordan, Caleb, Dong Hyun, Jacob, Beddy, Zach and Kai

"I tried anyways " he laughed and ruffled my hair, Beddy was 2 years my senior , Zach was also 2 years my senior, Caleb was a year older than me, Jordan was the same year as me and he was the closest to me as we relate more , Kai was a year older and so was Dong Hyun.
