Lucas POV:

' Shit. I was only trying to scare her into not fucking with my head and look what happened.'

I paced around my room over and over again , my mind filled to the brim with concern and worry for hazelnut next door. I should've listened when she begged me to open the door, I shouldn't have left her there , but she was getting into my head and I can't believe I'm saying this but I-I'm

Scared

the last time I ever allowed someone to prance into my life was a huge fucking mistake and I wasn't ready to risk it again.

Flashback to 2 years ago

" I love you my pretty boy " She giggled as she nibbled my ear

" I love you too my queen. " I whispered back but the only difference between us was that I meant what I said.

I was riding home from school , excited to see my girl after she didn't feel so good yesterday and had to take the day off, I got the 'Okay' from my principal to go home early in order to take care of her. I reached my house and handed my schoolbag to one of my maids and started making my way up to my room. I almost swung open my door to surprise her when I heard sounds that I shouldn't be hearing.

" AH, HARDER, OH GOD " Tears slid down my face as I heard the voice of the girl I once loved crying out screams of pleasure with someone else

" J-JAKE I-I'M AT MY LIMIT " Among all people, you had to fuck my best friend.

"Come for me babygirl." I couldn't stand it anymore and stormed into my room.

"Out." I tried repressing myself from killing them both and my voice came out low and dark, even in that moment, I was scared of myself too.

" L-Lucas.." Her lips quivered out my name

" I said , take your fucking shit and get the fuck out now." I pulled her up alongside the dick and threw them out with nothing but the sheets they did it on. Sat down on the sofa , took out my phone and called my butler Arthur.

"Yes sir? You called?"

"Take out my bed and burn it, along with everything she brought to my room. Then get me a new bed. I want everything in my room replaced with new ones and a different design." I ordered, I wasn't in the mood of being nice.

"Yes sir, by when do you want this done?"

"Now." I whispered

"Understood sir, I'm on my way." The other side of the call ended with beeps and I was surrounded by silence.

I decided to get revenge because she deserved it , I called each and every store she bought stuff from using my card and have them tell me how much she spent. I asked my butler to accompany me to her house where I met her mom. Her mother , Lisa, absolutely loves me because I'm proper and a gentleman. I told her what her daughter had done and how much she owed me, her spending habits have no limit and had summed up to about $100,000.

Her family was not well off so I provided her mother with supplies that she might need in her life secretly because her mom was an amazing person through and through but the daughter is not. I asked permission to head up to her room and confiscate everything she had bought using my name and card she agreed immediately, apologizing and was ashamed of what her daughter had done. I told her it wasn't her fault and went up to find a room filled with luxurious things that girls would "die for".

I decided that the clothes she bought with my money were to be donated to charities because I thought that despite her bad attitude, her clothes could do some justice for those who are in need.

' I got fake people showing fake love to me.'

My phone started blaring out in the middle of my room and dragged me out of my thoughts and pulled me down into reality, without looking at the caller ID I picked up.

"Hello sir, I have arrived with the items you have requested, if you could please wait downstairs in the living room, I will have your room done immediately." Arthur said calmly

"Thanks , I'll be home soon." I replied nonchalantly

"Yes sir." He ended the call and I went downstairs with everything she bought packed in 3 large duffel bags and bid her mother goodbye.

"I'm so sorry this happened to you Lucas, you're a good man , you will find a woman who loves you just as much as you love her and no matter the circumstances, she will always be with you." She said as I prepared to leave , I took one last look at her , gave her a small smile and left with tears sliding down my face.

Flashback end

Until this day, I was scared to fall in love again all because I knew what they were all mainly into. They weren't in it for me , they were in it for the money and my good looks. Hazelnut was different, she doesn't care if I was good looking or not , she didn't want anything from me.

She's different

I was still providing Lisa everything she needed to get by as she is retired and her husband isn't with her anymore. Lisa updated me on things around the house and her daughter had left her house furious about what I had done and was dating Jake. I could care less about what the two were doing because they were none of my concern.

Hazelnut reached home about an hour ago and I am still contemplating whether or not to head on over and to apologize to her. I looked out my window to look at her room only to find her butler staring at me with deadly eyes and shutting her curtains.

' Well that was fucking scary '

I decided to head on over to her house in the evening but before that I made a quick trip to the grocery store to buy candies, oreos, and shit that I personally like in hopes that she would like them too.

I headed home and waited in my room for a few hours before it was finally time to apologise to her, she was awake , I could tell from her shadow movements around her room and I took this as the time to say sorry.

' Well, here goes nothing ' I thought to myself silently as I headed out my door and finding myself in front of hers.

" I need to fix this. She's different , and I need to fix everything I had done." I said to myself firmly." and finally, after all the hesitation,

I rang her doorbell.
