Chapter 5: whoops?

Lucas POV:
I swear to god that old lady is a fucking handful.
Thank god she's going back to London on Saturday.

'Gotta think of what to set up for the party till then.'

I walked out of my room having only two motives in mind, one ignore the lady who is apparently called my 'mother' and two, grocery store. Just like what I had planed, I ignored everyone who was in the living room and speed walked straight ahead to my bike.

' chips, Diet cokes, Beer packs, Some other shit drunk people would like.'

Once I checked everything off the imaginary list that was in my mind I nodded in approval at myself for doing all the shopping in 15 minutes.
So there's a problem between checking someone out and being looked at like you were the fresh 'flower boys' that old ladies want, I had been standing at this counter for about 5 minutes and this blonde chick who probably smacked her face into a cake made out of makeup before coming to work stared at me like I was the only plate of food left in this world. Don't get me wrong, I like the attention but this is fucking disgusting, especially if she's drooling a little.
I cleared my throat and made her snap out of her daydream stance of me and quirked one of my eyebrows at her, once she noticed what she had been doing she immediately started to do what she was supposed to do 5 minutes ago. After I paid for everything, I rode home with all my stress from before fading away into the background and for the first time in all my life, I was relaxed.

Jade's POV:

After chatting with the new neighbours Layla and Genevieve who told me to call her G I said my goodbye and went back to my room so currently I'm lying down with an empty mind and a room filled with just the sounds of my even breathing.

*bzz-bzz*

I looked over to my phone and saw a new message had popped up. I had nothing to do so I decided to open it .

'Hi, just wanted to thank you for the cupcakes! They were amazing❤️ (it's G by the way)'

'What the? How does she know my number?' I thought to myself as I got creeped out and decided to reply her anyways.

' Hey :) thanks for inviting me in! You're mom was really nice and so were you! (Ps how did you get my number ?)'

After replying to her text, I quickly added her number into my contacts and waited for her reply.
*bzz-bzz*

'You could say I have great hacking skills :p. We should hang out sometime, I like you. ;)'

'One word, creepy.'

I decided to reply to her text because i don't want to come off as rude if I just left her on read and I didn't want a shitty first impression on her.

'Yea sure :)'

After replying to her text I turned my phone off and walked downstairs to my backyard to play some badminton with Leo.

Yea, yea I know what you're thinking.

'Leo is a butler'

'He has to do other shit than accompany your ass all the time.'

I get it.

But he needs to relax anyways, he's always so busy. With my determination into getting Leo to play badminton with me , I go on a search for my best friend.

As I reached the grand staircase of my house, I sucked in a deep breath and screamed as loud as I could-

"LEO!" By the time the word Leo left my lips, he was by my side almost immediately, scaring me a little in the process.

"Yes princess, you called ?" He said smiling warmly at me like he always does.

"Are you free right now?" I asked hoping that he'd say yes

"At the moment yes, is there anything I can help you with Jade ?" He flashed me another smile and this time his dimples were showing.

"Could you play badminton with me please." I asked while looking down starting to feel a little embarrassed.

"I'd love to Jade, I'll be right back I just need to change to my sports attire!" With that he dashed down the hall and into his room. I smile and shake my head at his childishness but that's what makes me love him as my best friend.

After he had changed into his attire, we headed out to the backyard and started warming up.

Halfway throughout the game and I'm already sweating buckets full.

"I'm so tired." I groaned while dropping to the ground like I was melted ice cream under the hot sun.

"Look on the bright side princess, you beat me in badminton ." He said while dropping next to me and chuckled at my messy state.

"Remind me to not do this again while it's this hot." I said and threw my can of coke hoping it would go into the trash can.

What I forgot was it was half full and so the liquid inside the can had splashed onto someone's head .

A pair of electrifying, intense blue eyes met mine and I froze. The only thought that came to my mind was

'Whoops?'
