Chapter 8: huh?

Jade's POV:

I slowly opened my eyes with a throbbing pain at the back of my head and took in my surroundings. 

' Okay, I'm tied to a chair with shitty ropes that I could get out easily of and there's so far no one guarding this room. ' 

I thought to myself silently and easily got out of the ropes

" Yea I know right, how could the boss send a rookie to get the girl? We did it way faster anyways." a man's voice said from the outside of the door.

' Shit, I have to retie myself again ' 

With no time to lose, I was in the chair strapped similarly as I was a few minutes ago. 

" Hey sunshine, looking good today ay? " man 1 said 

" Thanks to you we might get promoted sunshine! " man 2 said 

" What do you want from me? Money? " I whispered quietly pretending to be scared 

" Aww sunshine, apparently you did someone wrong my dear. It is not us who needs something from you its Him. " He leaned towards my face and emphasised the him

' Perfect, say bye bye to your teeth man 1 '

As I finished the thought I grinned at him then proceeded to head butted man 1's face and watched as he fell to the ground whining like a child 

" Shit my face! " Man 1 started swearing uncontrollably from then on. I quickly undo the ropes and attacked man 2 using the taser he had in his belt and electrified him to sleep.

" Okay man 1 and 2 down, now what Jade." I whispered to myself as I tried to think of a plan to get out of this place. 

" Wow , still as cunning and gorgeous as always my dear. " I turned around and my eyes met with the devil. I froze, standing right in front of me was the boy I hated more than anything in this world, with dry lips and all the courage I could muster, I said the devils name.

" Jason. " 

" What a surprise, you still remembered my name Jade? Took me a lot of work to get you here my dear, it's so sad to see you leaving so soon. " He retorted back with the same charming voice.

" What do you want Jason, we were done years ago. " At this point I don't even know what I sounded like but I think its similar to a growl of some sort.

" No my dear, you're done with me but I'm not done with you. " He said as he pushed my back onto the chair.

" I have some questions I need answers to and you're going to give it to me. " He said calmly and added a little smile after the sentence.

" sigh, what is it. " I gave up trying to fight the boy in front of me, after all we were childhood friends, hurting him would hurt me too.

" Why do you hate me my dear? What made you hate me...we were so close....and you left without telling me why." He whispered out, he grabbed my hands and touched it gently while examining it with adoration.

" Did they tie your hands really tightly my dear? Did it hurt? I'm sorry love.. I didn't mean to hurt you at all, I just wanted to talk to you without you acting out.." He said as he kissed my hands gently.

" No, I'm alright Jason." I replied firmly and yanked my hands out of his grasp.

" Jade.. please, tell me why do you hate me so much.. " His ash grey eyes bore into my boring ones, I felt the same emotion as I had felt on that day.

Now all of you must be wondering why I hate Jason so much it's because when we were growing up there was a period of time where I had fallen for him but he turned on me and decided to make out with my then girl best friend in front of my locker. I never told Jason how I really felt and I don't plan to. It took me years to forget these feelings and if it takes me three more so be it. I will never go back to those feelings and I will not be swayed.

' or so I thought '

Here I am, 20 minutes later eating ice cream with my childhood friend who probably secretly owns a gang claiming he only kidnapped me to catch up with me and to ask me questions.

" Why are you doing this to me Jason? Can't you just leave me alone and go back to Denise? " I said nonchalantly.

Jason stopped stuffing his perfect face with ice cream and popped his head up to say " Who? " 

" Never mind, forget it. Look, if you're not gonna talk I'm leaving. Don't look for me again. " I stood up and walked straight towards the exit of the shop

" W-wait! Don't leave." He tagged along behind me until he caught up to my pace

' Damn you and your stupid toned long legs ' 

" Stop following me Jason, just go home. " as soon as I finished that sentence, I ran as fast as I could to god knows where looking behind me occasionally relieved to see that he didn't follow me.  I stop nearby a store close to home and panted heavily as I whispered to myself 

" Why here, why now. " 

I stopped the thoughts running through my head and went straight home.

Jason's POV: 

I knew Jade since we were 5, what happened to us. Jade and I were so close since when we were little now all of a sudden she left me and I never heard from her years later, thanks to her, she took so much of my time trying to find out where she was and what she was doing , whether or not she was still alive. Thank god she still is but I really need her back, I don't know what I did wrong but God, I need my best friend back. 

I picked up my phone and dialled Anders, my butler.

" Good evening Sir, how may I assist you today? " Anders's voice called out from the other side of the phone.

" Yea, find out where miss Jade studies and enrol me into her school immediately. The faster the better thanks. " I asked 

" Yes sir, I will notify you when the procedure is done, have a good evening. " Anders ended the call and before I knew it tears were dripping from my eyes as I thought.

' What did I do to make her hate me so much.. '
