"Vic."

I stand up from the table and rush down the hall.

Elise is hobbling on one foot, with nailpolish in her hands.

"Why do you insist on painting your toenails while six months pregnant?" I asked, steadying her on her feet.

"Because, whale or not, I can't stand having raggedy looking toenails."She said.

"You are not a whale babe." I said.

She shot me a look, "I am so."

I sighed and helped her sit down, "Even if you were a whale, I would love you anyway." I said kissing her.

"What do you think of my toes?" She asked.

"They're kind of smeared." I said.

She sighed, "Why do I even try." She said.

"Babe, this is a one time offer, and you can't tell anyone, but I'll paint your toenails for you." I said.

She smiled, "You'd do that for me babe?"

I nodded, "Yeah, but you can't tell anybody." I said.

She smiled and kissed my cheek, "Not a soul."

She sat up on the counter, her legs dangling off the edge, and I sat cross-legged in front of her and carefully painted her toenails.

"There. What do you think?" I asked.

She craned her neck and then laughed, "I can't see them." She said.

I took a picture on my phone and showed it to her, "See?" I asked.

She smiled, "I love them babe. Thank youuuuuu." She said hugging me.

"You're welcome. What are fiances for? Other than knocking you up and stuff." I joked.

She laughed and hugged me, "I love you." She said.

"I love you too." I said.

Courtney and Elise still aren't talking after the fall out they had two months ago, but with our wedding coming up in May, we were both hoping they'd patch things up.

Courtney and Jaime are getting married in September, and their daughter is due in July.

Jaycela is due on May 11, and it's barely February 25 now.

We're having the wedding on May 28, and basically, we're just happy that we're finally, after all the stuff we've been through, and all the time we've spent together, tying the knot.

"Do you think I'll be able to lose the pregnancy weight in time to fit into the dress I want?" Elise asked.

"Well, to be fair, you're not giving yourself a lot of time to do it, but really, it all depends on how much weight you gain during your pregnancy." I said.

"I don't know, I haven't gone back to the doctor yet, and we really won't know until it's all over." She said.

"Well, to be on the safe side, and make it less work, you should try eating healthier and being more active, to keep your weight down. Just a suggestion babe." I said.

"No, you have a good point. I'm going to have a lot of stress with the wedding already, having to lose a ton of weight is going to make me even crazier." She said.

"We don't need you going crazy. Frankly, I'm really worried about the stress from the wedding causing you to go into early labor." I said.

"I thought of that too. And I'm going to try to balance out the stress levels, so one's not overpowering the other." She said.
