Intoxicated - Bruce Wayne

Chapter Twenty Four

"So did you and Brucie made up?" Nightwing teased Tigress as they sneaked in thru Ace Chemicals while Batman snatched goons from above and hacking into motion sensors and cameras to make it easier for the two to sneak in without getting noticed.

"Shut up, Wingy." Tigress sang in a whisper as she snatched one of Crane's goons from the back, knocking him out.

Nightwing chuckled as he too, took out one of the goon with a zap, "well I'm glad you guys made up, I like you two together."

Dick indeed was honest, he did appreciate them being together very much. He deeply believed that even if Bruce and Eva didn't see it yet, the both of them were going to be each other's comfort, soulmates indeed. It sounded cliche, but even Alfred agreed.

"Well you're gonna see more of me now, Wingy." Dick knew Eva was smiling even though her mask covered her lips. "How unfortunate." Dick chuckled as Eva rolled her eyes playfully. As they came out of the vent they were venturing in, they decided to attack from above.

"Hey look, there's Crane." Tigress whispered to Nightwing as he immediately contacted Batman about the information.

The madman was wearing his usual Scarecrow mask as he sat behind a long table, filled with his little chemistry set.

He was producing more of his fear toxins.

As Nightwing worked fast in taking down the goons silently, Tigress helped him to finish the job. The minute all the goons were gone, Tigress set her eyes on Crane and Nightwing instantly saw the look in her eyes, it was the look in his own eyes that Batman saw when Dick was younger.  

"Are you ready?" Nightwing whispered to Tigress, "let's just do this." Eva dropped herself down to one of the crates as Nightwing jumped at Crane.

"Ah! Batman's sidekick!" Scarecrow said in his eery tone, "what a lovely surprise. However, I was expecting the bat to show!"

"Sorry to disappoint, maybe another time?" Nightwing said before punching Scarecrow, sending him to the floor.

Before Scarecrow could raise his arms and release his fear gas at Nightwing, Tigress jumped out of the crate and tackled Scarecrow to the other side of the room, her still on top of him as they slid.

"K? A thief that sided with the batman..." as Scarecrow mocked, Tigress did not notice that Scarecrow was raising his hand slowly up to her face.

"Its Tigress now." She growled at the man as she raised her fists up to knock him out.

"So you've become another sidekick of Batman? Pathetic." Scarecrow said, his hand inching towards her face, the moment Eva realized, it was already too late.

Batman however, saw the action from above but he was already too slow. "Sweet dreams." Scarecrow said in a shrill tone, immediately Tigress began to see Scarecrow shifting into a person she did not want to see. She fell off of him and started to breathe heavily.

"Tigress!" The Batman called her name, as she reacted to her name being called, she turned her head only to panic and shut her eyes.

There were more of him. 

"Keep your eyes closed." The voice was so familiar, it did not belong to the image she witnessed. 

Was it Bruce's?

 She felt her body being engulfed and lifted and being placed on a comfortable seat, her mind started to race, all she saw was him. Breathing became difficult and she couldn't stop sweating. She removed her mask and opened her eyes only to see that she was in the tumbler. As her bulging eyes traveled to the person next to her, it was him again.
