Eva was laying in bed with Bruce, it was a wonderful night they both have shared and she couldn't be anymore satisfied than she is now.

"Eva..." Bruce called out her name in a whimper that made her stomach churn, "Eva.."

"Are you alright, Bruce?" Eva instantly felt wet, a sticky substance was growing on the bed and stuck to her skin, she turned around to face Bruce in the dark.

"Eva.." A name called out to her but this time it wasn't Bruce, immediately she turned the lights on only to see a sword stuck into Bruce's chest. The sticky substance was his blood.

A cry escaped Eva's lips as she stared at Bruce in disbelief. "Eva..." The voice taunted her and as she turned around, her father came out of the curtains.

Before her father could stick the sword in her chest, Eva woke up in a jolt and a little cry escaped her lips. Her body was covered in cold sweat and her chest felt tight.

She turned on the lamp only to see that the space beside her where Bruce slept was empty. Eva let out a sigh of relief as she got off the bed and made her way downstairs.

Dick's room was empty and she only guessed he was currently jumping from one building to another as Nightwing. Next to his bedroom, it was Tim's room. The boy left the door open as he fell asleep in his chair while his head was on his book, Eva creeped in slowly to close the light and door.

As her feet skipped the wooden stairs, Eva started to hear faint murmurs coming from the kitchen.

"Bruce? Alfred? Dick??" As she called out loudly, there was no reply. Suddenly she heard a crash and she panicked, Eva walked fast until her feet stepped on warm liquid.

Her head tilted down slowly, while her hands started to shake. She stepped on blood. Immediately she ran to the kitchen only to see the whole kitchen covered in blood, at the sight, she couldn't help but gasp.

A hand on her shoulder made the woman jolt, looking behind her, it was only Alfred with a worried look on his face, "madam?"

Eva took a second look at the kitchen only to see it was crystal clean. The confusion on the woman's face made Alfred realize what had just happened, "I presume master Bruce informed you about the hallucinations?"

The orphanage that Eva spent most of her teenage years was rather small, it wasn't a big house, like the typical orphanage would be. In fact, it was a whole apartment building that was made into an orphanage. It was easy to sneak in too. Batman snuck into one of the unlocked windows of an office with the help of Nightwing telling him all about the orphanage.

Apparently, Eva's therapist, Mark Trang, worked in Arkham before working at the orphanage and Batman was about to find out what he did to Eva.

As he snuck in, he entered the office of Mark Trang that Dick instructed the Batman to head to.

His office was crammed and did not look like your ordinary therapist's office, boxes filled up the corners while paperworks piled up the man's desk. His walls carried some awards and some deep quotes, mainly for the children to read and maybe, just maybe, feel a little different about the world.

A metal cabinet set beside the desk instantly caught Batman's attention. This is where all the files of each orphan was placed. Batman picked the lock and it didn't take much time to open, when the drawer snapped, it creaked when Batman pulled the drawer open. His gloved hands skimmed thru different files until he found Eva's.

A small and frightened Eva with a messy ponytail was the first thing that Batman saw. It was the first picture that was in the file- he presumed that was right after her mother's murder and father's death happened- when he flipped the paper, other photos fell out.
