Gotham was getting cold and December was just right around the corner. Eva walked the streets of Gotham with her hands in her jackets' pockets, her hoodie over her head.

Eva, just like majority of other people in Gotham was not so rich, she barely even had money. Long ago though, Eva received money the "clean" way. She worked different jobs that other people didn't want to. Like, cleaning bathrooms, a bartender at a shitty night club, being a babysitter and other nasty jobs involving the sewers.

But then, those jobs couldn't make it for Eva anymore. You see, Eva had a roommate that was into dirty business. Her roommate Veronica took notice of how Eva was very much capable in a lot of strategies. Eva was flexible and she could fight. She was especially smart also very street-smart. Veronica, with her proud long dreads and chocolate milk skin decided to let Eva in.

Veronica would constantly switch what she would do, sometimes she'd rob banks with different crews, sometimes she even hustled rich men, other times it involved threatening someone under the knife just to scare them for someone else who wanted revenge or a quick action to get something done.

When Eva joined Veronica in that business, Veronica Jones never regretted it.

Veronica heard a few people talking, also including her friends, that many are starting to notice a certain figure who was always wearing a tiger mask. Eva would never show her face. Eva was beginning to be recognised even with top villains, Veronica was proud of Eva but Eva was not.

Eva entered her apartment only to take notice of Veronica's friends all sprawled across the living room- that meant there was another job they were going to do.

"Hey Ev!" Frank, an acquaintance of Eva said as he handed her a beer.

"Hey- thanks." Eva said before entering the kitchen only to see Margo with a couple of beers in her hand.

"Another job, V?" Eva said.

"You bet! C'mon we need you on this one." Veronica pulled Eva to the living room and sat her down.

"Alright ladies and boys! Another bank robbery." Veronica said excited.

"V, another bank robbery? Thats a bad idea! The bat-boy'll be on our ass this time." Eva said in disbelief. Another bank robbery, twice in a month is gonna piss off the batman and he'll come for them.

"Come on, he's nothing but a man who cosplays. What'll he possibly do, he's just a man in hockey pads!" Veronica said with a chuckle.

"The last time I heard, he took out 10 men at a time." Ashley, Frank's sister with pink and purple highlights in her blonde hair, muttered.

"See?" Eva pointed her finger to Ashley. "Thank you Ash!" Ashley raised her beer towards Eva with a salute.

"Come on, I'm pretty sure he's busy with the Joker and his little squeeze Quinn. Last I heard Joker was up to something, that'll keep the bat off of us wouldn't it?" Dean said.

A smile grew on Veronica's face when she received Dean's support.

"Well, if it makes you feel any better a few of us can be the back up plan- if he does show up, call out to us and we'll distract him." Frank said standing up, wrapping his arm around Eva's neck.

Eva sighed in defeat. "Alright."

As Eva slid on her tiger mask, they were on action. She shot her shotgun towards the ceiling grabbing everyones attention. The rest of Veronica's crew were scattered around. Unlike Eva, most of the crew had covered their lower face with a bandana, including Veronica.

"Alright thieving assholes! Money in the bag before we blow off one'a ya heads!" Veronica shouted as she jumped on one of the counters.

Eva looked around her only to see the hostages and bankers scared out of their minds, some were crying, shaking and even muttering things to themselves. She felt guilty but she had to do it. A heavy feeling in her heart doing these kind of jobs will never leave. Sometimes as she looked at herself in the mirror, she hated the other person that looked back at her.

Sam, Ashley Dean and Steve grabbed the money while the others were guarding. Eva and Veronica were the ones in charge.

Time flew by slowly for Eva, she wasn't nervous or scared- she just didn't like doing this. But she had to, she reminded herself. Police sirens came closer to the bank, someone must've alarmed the police when no one noticed. How could she miss that?

"Alright people, hustle, hustle, hustle!" Veronica screamed again, grabbing a woman by her hair and pushing her over to do the job.

Eva noticed quick movement in the shadows and she felt that someone was watching them. "Keep your eyes open, don't miss a shot too." Eva warned her crew.

Until, Steve was snatched and his money bag flew across the room. Then, Eva instantly knew it was the batman. A few of them were taken out slowly and Eva couldn't help but thinking that maybe her and Veronica's crew were considered an exercise for him, he's been through worse villains.

The batman only showed himself only when there were a few of them left. "Yeah, he's definitely not wearing hockey pads V." Eva chuckled as she cocked her shotgun.

Veronica immediately ran towards him to hopefully take him out in combat but only ended up flying over the room. Unconscious she was, and so were the rest of her crew. Except Eva.

Batman grabbed Eva's shotgun and broke it against his knee. "Huh, thats a first." Eva said, very amused by the new sight. He was definitely strong, well built, somewhat scary and surely did not go around Gotham taking down bad guys in hockey pads.

Eva dodged his punch and threw in some punches herself, she tried kicking him so he could fall but he didn't. She used her flexibility against him and it still didn't work. She grabbed her baseball bat that was attached to her back and used it against him until he took a hold of that too.

"Its really not fair that you got better toys than mine." Eva muttered before he held her by her throat and lifted her through the air. "You're going to jail." He said in his deep growl. "I don't think so, batboy." She managed to squeak out before kicking him in the chin and slicing a part of his forearm with her pocket knife.

She fell on the floor and instantly started running out. "Frank! Frank! We need a distraction dude! the rest are all back in the bank, unconscious. Hurry your ass Franky!" She said through her ear piece. "Got you covered." Was all Frank said.

As Eva climbed the fire escape to a building, the batman was right in front of her. "Holy shit- how did you- never mind!" She quickly turned the other way and ran as fast as she could and jumped to another building.

It was only then, she heard a loud 'boom' go off, shot guns going off and screams erupted through the street that she heard a final growl from behind her. She turned around and the batman was gone.

"Holy shit." She breathed in before sitting on the dusty floor and started to pant. "I really wish he was just wearing hockey pads."
