Amaan ran to Aryanna's side and put her head on his lap. He took her hands and kissed her forehead continously. His hands, clothes and the floor was covered in blood.

"Please don't go, I can't live without you, please don't" whispered Amaan.

Aryanna's eyes opened halfway. Amaan took her hands and kissed them.

'I... Lo... ve... You...' Aryanna mouthed.

"I love you too, don't leave me" Amaan said, just when Aryanna closed her eyes.

Amaan screamed, believing that Aryanna was dead.

"Somebody call an ambulance! Someone help!" he shouted.

Valy stared at the sight without blinking. He felt like his life had just ended.

Haily fell to her knees and began crying.

"No, you can't leave me like this!" Amaan shouted.

Just then, Amaan put his hand over Aryanna's heart and realised that her heart was still beating.

He wiped his tears and smiled.

"She's alive! Call a doctor!" he shouted.

An ambulance and police arrived in less than five minutes and took Aryanna away on a stretcher.

"Please stay away, everybody!" the police were saying.

Amaan stayed with Aryanna in the ambulance. Valy tried to come with her but Amaan pushed him away.

"Don't... even... dare!" Amaan had said, to Valy, meaning every word.

Valy had realised that there was no way that Amaan would let him come along, so he got into his car and followed the ambulance.

Haily had taken a taxi to the hospital.

Aryanna was once again in the I.C.U, fighting with death.

Within an hour, Lesley, Safiyah, Thivya, Maria and Aryanna's other friends had arrived at the hospital. Aryanna's parents had moved to Venice, five years ago, for which reason they were not there.

Amaan was sitting on the floor, his back against the wall and his hands covering his face.

Valy and Haily arrived at the hospital and walked into the corridor, where everyone was sitting. The corridor was dimly lit; everyone was crying, others praying and some curled up into a ball. The atmosphere was tense. Everyone was depressed. It was true that if you done good, you would only get good back; Aryanna was nice to everyone and helped all and now, when she was in a bad condition, everyone had come for her.

Amaan heard the footsteps and looked up, only to see Valy and Haily.

Amaan got up and walked up to Haily and Valy. When he got to up to them, he stood still.

Just then, to everyone's surprise, Amaan slapped Haily. Haily put her hand over her face but did not move.

Valy pushed Amaan away.

"What do you think you're doing? I mean, I know she has done wrong but that doesn't mean you should slap her like that! Besides, she's a women and you shouldn't raise your hand on her!" Valy shouted.

Amaan looked down and bit his lip.

"You know what? For the first time, why don't you stay out of my business? I'm talking to her and I will be more than happy if you don't interfere" Amaan spoke, hardly able to talk.

He turned to face Haily, who was still in the same position. Everyone's eyes were on Haily and Amaan but no one dared to talk or interfere.

"How could you do that?" Amaan asked.

"I... didn't mean to..." Haily answered.

"What do you mean? Do you..." Amaan whispered, losing control over his emotions.

"Do you even know how many sacrifices that girl has made for you? For your happiness? She has made sacrifices, not caring how it affected her, as long as it was something that would make you happy. That girl, that girl in that room, that girl that is fighting for life, that girl... gave up her whole life... for you! And who cares? She did all those thing to make you happy and what did you give her in return? Hatred, pain, regrets, sorrow, tears and so much more. Forget that all, she lived ten years, bloody ten years as a lonely soul, a depressed women. She smiled everyday but behind each smile was pain, the pain that she had hidden, pain that no one else would ever understand... Today, she was finally getting a chance to live again but you couldn't bear seeing her happy and you..." Amaan said, wiping his tears.

"You know what? She isn't the only one that has spent these ten years being lonely because you know who else has been living like her? You know who else has been smiling yet dying? You know who else has been lonely all these years?" Amaan asked.

Haily looked down, not knowing what to say.

Valy tried to pull Amaan away.

"Stop it, Valy! Not anymore! I won't hide this anymore, I've kept it in me too long! This truth has been eating me from the inside for ten bloody years! I can't hide it anymore, I'm sorry. Ten years, for ten years I lived knowing that I could have changed things around but I didn't, only for Aryanna's sake!" Amaan shouted.

Haily looked up, her eyes red.

"What truth? Who's been living like her? Tell me!" Haily cried.

"YOU! For god's sake! YOU! You are the one that has been lonely all these years along with Aryanna! You are the one that has been dying all these years! Wether you know it or not, you have been LONELY all these ten years because he never loved you! It was all because of a promise he was forced to make! A promise Aryanna made your husband take, for your happiness! If you're married, happy, or so called happy, then it's all because of Aryanna! She made you happy! She gave you all of her happiness, she gave her entire life to you, she gave you... her lo-" Amaan shouted.

"Excuse me? The patient's situation is getting worse, she has lost a lot of blood, we need a blood donation. It's hard to find a blood donation of her blood group. Please find a donation as soon as possible, her life is in danger" the nurse said.

Everyone looked up, their eyes filled with tears. They all volunteered to take a test to see if their blood group matched Aryanna's, including Thivya, who was heavily pregnant. Giving blood or taking a test could harm the baby's health but Thivya didn't care. Aryanna's life was more important than her own baby.

Everyone left for a test, including Amaan, who could hardly move or talk.

Valy and Haily stood still.

"Va...ly... what promises?..." Haily asked, crying.

"Nothing, nothing matters right now, only Aryanna's life..." Valy replied.

"But..." Haily said.

"Aryanna's life is in danger... that's all that matters..." Valy whispered.
