She, me and her

Chapter 5

Divya wakes up at 10 in the morning. Honey has already left for work. She stretches herself and goes into her room where Arjun is sleeping. She sees that Arjun is awake but is still lying. Seeing her come in he sits up. Divya asks "Are you fine?"

Arjun says "Ya. I am fine. I am really sorry about yesterday. Actually I did go to the library but couldn't concentrate so.."

"It's O.k. I can understand. Now you can get ready" Divya says with a smile. Arjun stands up. Divya shows him the bathroom and tells "You can wear my dad's shirt, it will fit you."

Arjun nods and goes to take bath. Divya too takes bath and gets ready. She comes out and after she comes Arjun too comes out dressed in her father's over sized T-shirt and a pair of trousers. Divya says "Come let's have breakfast. You eat oats right?"

Arjun nods and says "Ya sure."

They both go into the dining room and Divya serves him a bowl of oats. They both start eating. Arjun asks "You live here alone isn't it? Where are your parents?"

Divya nods and says "My dad G.N. Deshmukh is the managing director of Deshmukh group of industries. He is in Delhi trying to establish the company there. But I love Mumbai and don't want to go to Delhi, so I am living in Mumbai."

Arjun asks "So what about Honey? Why does she live with you?"

"Honey? She is my dad' friends daughter. After one week of her marriage she realized that her husband is a drug addict. She left him. If she lives in Delhi she would get depressed so my dad suggested that she lives here with me and finds a good job which will distract her."

Arjun says "I am sorry". After finishing their breakfast Arjun says "I need to go home. I will catch the next bus home."

Divya says "How can you do that? I will drop you home". Arjun agrees. Divya takes out her scooty. Arjun puts his clothes in a cover. They both start towards Arjun's home. After a ride of twenty minutes they reach his flat in an apartment named 'Palm Meadows'. 

Divya says "O.k then, bye". Arjun frowns and says "What bye, you need to come in for a coffee."

Divya says "It's OK, I will leave". Arjun folds his hands and says "If you don't come I will not let you go". Divya smiles and says "OK, let's go."

They both go to Arjun's flat in third floor. It was a well equipped double bedroom flat. It had that bachelor look to it. Arjun goes in to prepare a coffee while Divya sits in the sofa. She looks around at the photos on the wall, one having Arjun with his mom and dad and a girl probably his sister. The other photo has Arjun with his college friends which even has Satya sir in it.

Arjun comes in with the coffee. Divya asks "Is Satya sir your college friend?"

Arjun says "Ya, we are like besties. He himself talked to the dean and convinced him to take me as the new accounts professor."

Divya smiles. After finishing her coffee, Divya goes till the door to leave. Just then Arjun calls out for her and says "Thanks a lot Divya. And do come again."

Divya smiles and leaves. She starts towards her house. All along the way she thinks of Arjun, his different way of approach to her as a friend not a teacher and his kindness towards her. She feels that Meghana is a stupid girl to leave such a nice man.
