Chapter 1

(1 month later in Mumbai St. Thomas College of Arts and Commerce)

Divya comes running into the college. She is already late. She goes to her friends who are sitting on the benches kept for visitors.

"I think Divyakshi madam is late today. Maybe she left the thought of ragging on fresher's day" one of her friends says. The others start laughing.

Divya furiously says "Shut up Alisha don't call me Divyakshi. Anyway did you guys start?"

"Yes, already we handled a girl of first year and a boy of first year too."

Just than a man dressed in black dress with spectacles and books in his hands enters through the gate.

Divya looks at him. He looked lost. He lifts his head and looks at the pack of girls sitting there. He comes towards them. Divya stands up. He comes and stands before her and asks "Can you tell me where is the staff room?"

Before Divya could answer Alisha pulls her to her seat. She asks "Leave the staff room what is your name?"

He says "Arjun."

The other girls says "Cool like you". Arjun doesn't respond.

Divya says "Priya what are you talking? Leave him, let him go."

Priya replies "So the saint in Divyakshi is awake. If you don't want to involve yourself in this ragging you can shut up. But this won't stop."

Divya feels pity for Arjun. He doesn't seem to be bothering anything happening around him. He is again lost.

Alisha snaps her fingers and says "Mister lost mind, I think you understood what is happening here."

Arjun doesn't respond again. Priya says "Talk man. Are you deaf? Or a love failure? You do behave like one."

On the word 'love failure' he lifts his head. Divya notices the pain in his eyes and says "You are going to stop this, I swear. You are playing with his emotions. We will do ragging but not play with someone's emotions."

Just then their accounts Professor Satyanarayanan comes and shouts "Stupid girls, started with your ragging again? You know who he is?"

The girls shake their head in a no. Professor Satya says "He is your new Commerce Professor Mr. Krishna Arjun Prasad. Meet me in my cabin."

Before Professor Satya leaves Arjun says "Divyakshi didn't do anything. Only the rest of the girls were teasing."

Divya gives a stunned look to Arjun but he doesn't look at her. Satya says "Are you serious?Wow Divya good improvement. Arjun go straight and take right you will find the staff room, there you will meet the dean in his cabin. "

Arjun nods and leaves. Even Divya's friends leave. Divya goes behind Professor Satya and stops him.

She asks him "Satya sir, Is Arjun sir a love failure or something?" Satya asks her astonishingly "Why did you ask that?"

Divya says "I could notice the pain in his eyes. He somehow felt very uneasy at the word love failure."

Satya says "Yes. That is why to distract himself he is working here. Don't ask him any further questions about this please."

Divya says "You don't worry sir, I won't ask him anything about his love and i promise to keep him cheerful."

Satya smiles and leaves.

After her class Divya sees Arjun in the corridor. She shouts "Arjun sir stop."

He turns back and looks at her. She runs and reaches him. He says "Thank you Divyakshi for supporting me."

Divya says "I came to tell the same thing. Thanks to you too for telling Satya sir that I didn't tease you."

He smiles and leaves. She again calls him. He turns back. She says "Sir call me Divya not Divyakshi. my friends call me that to tease me."

He smiles again and says "Ya I will keep that in mind."
