"Master Hiccup. I can assure you the most valuable treasures imaginable. Just don't drop me in," Traitor Johann pleaded Hiccup, who had Toothless hovering above the ocean. Sea Shockers jumped every once and awhile, heightening Johann's fears. Hiccup looked just as vulnerable, even though he was the one on the dragon.
"I'm sorry Johann, but you've already decided who's side your on. Now you must live with the consequences," Hiccup said. With one saddening look, Toothless obeyed Hiccup, and dropped Johann into the ocean. Thankfully, the muck of the water saved Hiccup and the Riders the image of Johann as he was devoured by angry dragons. It was as if they knew he was one of them who killed dragons for sport. "See you in Valhalla," Hiccup said, with one last look into the ocean. He then signalled the shaken Riders to leave the area.
"Shouldn't we have saved the body for a proper funeral?" Astrid asked after awhile. "We could have done something other than drop him into the ocean."
"No. That would have been much harder," Hiccup replied, looking much worse than the rest of the Riders.
"But, he at least deserved a proper something. Memorial, if you will," she argued.
"Astrid, this is hard enough. I, I just need to be alone," Hiccup said, veering away from the rest of the Riders. They all continued, expecting Hiccup to join them on The Edge by nightfall.
