Hiccup jumped on Toothless, and followed Astrid. The other Riders, including Valka, Dagur and Heather, followed suite. "Fan out, and be careful.  This is a Night Fury. They thrive in the dark," Hiccup said. "And whatever you do, do not fire."

"Is he looking at us?" Ruff asked.

"He's always looking at us," Tuff replied.

"Okay, you guys know what to do, now go do it," Hiccup ordered. Toothless did his echolocation thing, sending purple waves into the air.

"Isn't Toothless the Alpha? Can't he just find it?" Fishlegs asked, unsure to call the other Night Fury a he or a she.

"Alphas cannot find other Alphas," Hiccup replied as Toothless sent another blast into the air. A sharp cry was heard in the distance. The others saw a light purple ball explode. Toothless instinctively moved closer. Toothless fired again, the sky around them turning purple. The other Night Fury blasted again, and this one seemed to be closer.

Soon enough, the other one was about ten feet away. Before Hiccup could do anything, the dragon turned around.  "Wait," Hiccup shouted. The dragon didnt pay attention. "Cmon bud, follow it," Hiccup said, spurring his dragon forward.

Toothless obeyed, following the dragon. "Defensive formation!" Hiccup shouted to the others around him. The others riders formed an outward circle as they entered a fog bank.

"Is this Breakneck Bog?" Fishlegs asked.

"That it is," Hiccup replied.

"Why are we here?" Valka asked. Last she knew, Breakneck Bog was off limits, like Berserker Island and Outcast.

"Because, that's leading us here," Hiccup said, gesturing to the lead dragon.

"I see," was all Valka said. Her eyes widened at the cloud of smoke advancing upon them.

"Those, are Smoulder Smokebreaths," Hiccup told no one in particular.

"And that, is Astrid," Snotlout said, pointing to a tree. Sure enough, Astrid was holding her axe, defending herself. Her eyes lit up at the sight of her fellow Riders.

"A little help?" She asked.

"That's odd," Hiccup said. His joy at seeing Astrid diminished when he took in the whole picture.

"What, Astrid needing help?" Ruff asked.

"No. The Smokebreaths. By now, every piece of metal would be gone, including that axe," Hiccup replied. Cautiously, he and Toothless approached the dragons. "One, single blast, nothing more," Hiccup urged Toothless.

The dragons scattered, but only made it ten feet before collapsing together. Hiccup, amidst the smoke, saw a dull green chain in the middle, tying them to the ground. "Greta must not be here. I'll get Astrid, you guys start searching on the next island." The others looked confused, but obeyed his commands.

"Hey," Astrid greeted, pulling herself up. She then got on Toothless.

"Not much of a honeymoon, eh?" Hiccup asked.

"Well, if you think about it, sap is kinda like honey," Astrid replied. The newlyweds watched as the Night Fury barrel rolled beside them.

"Did you find anything out?" Hiccup asked, looking for where the crew landed.

"No," Astrid replied, clutching his torso tighter as Toothless accelerated around a Sea Stack.

"Well, when Toothless broke up the bunch, I saw that they are chained together,"  Hiccup replied.

"That explains them not coming to me," Astrid said.
