Ch.6

Ashton's POV

I grabbed her bag and went on the bus and she was following behind me as I sat. I feel so bad for her. She has it worse than I thought.. Worse than me, that's for sure. She slowly sat beside me

"Thank you.. For carrying my bookbag.." She said quietly.

"Don't have to thank me.." I wanted to say something else, but I quickly shut my mouth.

"Why are you being so nice to me?" She asked breaking the silence.

"I'm sorr-" I got interrupted by the bus stopping and a few kids getting on the bus.

"You are just sorry because you feel bad for me.." She said looking down shaking her head.

"I am sorry, but that's because how I treated you. I never thought you would have so much happen.. I shouldn't of judged you.. All of these years you put up with me constantly throwing things at you, home problems, and other people, and you still manage to stay strong.. How?" I asked as I watched her put makeup on her face covering up her bruises.

"I try to be.. But it really is getting hard.." She said tearing up. The bus has stopped to let more kids on.

"Please, stay strong. I have problems too, maybe not as severe as yours-" I paused and rolled up my sleeves to show her my cuts, then rolled them back down. "We can make it, we can make it together, I promise," I said tearing up myself.

"Promise.. Bu- but what happened to you?" She asked looking at me.

"I got less severe family problems, my dad left, my mum don't care, I have no one, and believe it or not, I get bullied too.. And now that I think about it, I'm even more stupid for bullying someone else, I guess to try to cover it up and try to be cool.. I'm such a dick.. I'm sorry," I said wiping some tears.

She put her hand on my shoulder. She was also crying. I wiped away a tear on her cheek.

"It's ok.. I'm so sorry.. But we are going to fight together, and we're going to win," she said giving me a light smile.

I smiled back at her and have her a hug, not enough to hurt her. The bus pulled into school. We both stood up as I picked up her book bag. We then walked out of the bus.

It is almost lunch.. Damn can it just be lunch already?! I wonder how Ashlynn is doing..

The bell interrupted my thoughts. I rushed out to the lunch room. Gosh I'm starving. I was in line in my surprise, there was Ashlynn in front of me.

"Hey," I said tapping her shoulder. Then she turned around.

"Hi..do you want to sit with me and a couple of friends?" She asked shyly.

"Sounds cool to me, how are you feeling?" I asked her.

"Sore.." She simply said. I nodded in reply.

After getting our lunch, we finally sat down.

"So Kate, Calum, as you all know, this is Ashton, yes, I know we had a bad past with each other, but we are cool now," she said smiling.

"Hiya! We are weird people, so good luck!" Said the girl making a weird face. I chuckled at her bubbly personality.

"Don't scare him away!" Said the dark headed boy beside her.

"You won't be scaring me away, because I'm weird too!" I said shoving grapes in my nose.

"Oh gosh," Ashlynn giggled putting her head down.

"Ok.. I like him already!" The girl, I'm guessing it's Kate said putting grapes in her own nose.

The black haired boy.. Calum, he also put some in his nose but he pushed one too far.

"Shit, it's stuck!!" He yelled. Kate is practically dying popping her grapes out of her nose.

"That's what he said," Ashlynn said laughing too. I laughed at her remark, then we both laughed harder at my sudden laugh outburst.

He was still struggling to take his grapes out of his nose, then finally popped it out. He was then laughing at himself.

"Ashlynn, it's your turn," I said turning to her as Kate and Calum did.

"No, not doing that," she said still laughing.

"Yes"

"No"

"Yes"

"NO!"

"YESS!" Me and the other two screamed.

"Fine.." She muttered grabbing two grapes. We all laughed at her putting the grapes in her small in her small nose

"Don't laugh at me!!" She said fake gasping, then she popped them out failing to make them land on me.

"Ashlynn.. What the fuck?" I whispered directing to Kate and Calum making out.

She laughed a little bit. "Get used to it.. They do that a lot.." She whispered back, and right after she said that, the bell rung.

"Let's go to class, we are going to the same class anyway," I told her.

"Ok, bye lovebirds!!" She yelled at them. They waved us off.
