Episode Seventeen

*Transpants and Straightfur pad side by side to the fresh-kill pile, not talking about anything in particular. Without really paying attention, Transpants grabs a mouse and Straightfur grabs a vole.*

Transpants: Hey, Straightfur? What's with your vole?

Straightfur: What do you mean?

Transpants: Well, look at it.

Straightfur: *looks down and gasps to see that his vole is rainbow-colored* Was it like that in the fresh-kill pile?!

*Suddenly someone laughs from behind them and they both jump*

Gayday: *is laughing and holding some rainbow paint behind him* You should have seen the looks on your faces! *his laughter dies down* Anyways, you picked the magical gay vole, therefore you must be gay

Straightfur: *flattens his ears and sighs* We've all been over this a hundred ti-

Queerdeer: *starts running past* Aceface! Aceface!

*Straightfur and Transpants leap to their paws and Gayday sets down the paint*

Straightfur: Queerdeer, whats wrong?!

Queerdeer: *doesn't stop, but glances at them* Bi-sky's having our kits!

*Straightfur, Transpants, and Gayday all gasp in surprise and watch as Aceface is already running out of her den*

Aceface: *calmly and carrying a stick* I'm coming, I'm coming! *disappears into the nursery with Queerdeer*

*The whole camp suddenly goes quiet, and the sounds of Bi-sky giving birth can be heard from within the nursery. After what seemed like an eternity, Aceface finally walks out*

Aceface: Bi-sky and Queerdeer have three healthy kits! *the Clan cheers*

Gayday: *tugs on Straightfur's tail*

Straightfur: Ow, hey! What's that for?

Gayday: Let's go see the kits!

Straightfur: Are you sure? They probably want some space after-

Gayday: *is already rushing past him towards the nursery*

Straightfur: *runs after him in attempts to stop him but stops wide-eyed. In the nursery lay a tired-looking Bi-sky, with three tiny kits suckling her milk. Queerdeer laid beside her, gazing down at their kits with a proud look in his eyes*

Gayday: Awwweeeeeeee . . . They're so cute and tiny! *blows his nose in his tail*

Rainbowstar: *gently nudges past Straightfur and into the nursery* It is time to find out their genders and sexualities, as well as give them their names. Yes?

Queerdeer: *looks at Bi-sky, who nods, and he let out a deep purr* Yes, of course.

Straightfur: *nudges Gayday and whispers* We should go...

Bi-sky: *hears him and looks up* You two are welcome to stay.

Straightfur: Are-are you sure?

Bi-sky: *nods and lets out a tired purr* Of course!

Rainbowstar: *steps forwards and waves her tail over the three kits. Rainbow glitter gently falls over them like snow, and one of them sneezes* Oh great Nyan cat, lend me your wisdom and let it be known who these kits truly are inside. *She closes her eyes and rests her tail on the first one, the one that sneezed; it's pelt is white with gray points* They are bigender and graysexual. Their name will be Graykit, for their sexuality. *looks at Bi-sky and Queerdeer for approval*

Bi-sky and Queerdeer: *both nod, smiling*

Rainbowstar: *closes her eyes and rests her tail on the calico kit* She is a cis she-cat and pan-akoiromantic. Her name will be Akoikit, for her sexuality. *again looks at Queerdeer and Bi-sky for apporoval*

Bi-sky and Queerdeer: *both nod and smile once again*

Rainbowstar: *closes her eyes and rests her tail on the last kit, who is bluish gray. Waits a few moments before saying anything, her eyes shutting tighter than for the other two* He is demigender, demiboy to be exact, but . . . I cannot seem to identify his sexuality...

Gayday: *gasps and mumbles* That's never happened before . . . *he glances at Straightfur, who stands in shocked silence*

Queerdeer: Why not?

Rainbowstar: *shakes her head* He must not know his sexuality yet. No matter, he will find out in time. Now, we shall name him Demikit, after his gender.

Queerdeer: *looks at Bi-sky and nods, stroking her flank with his tail reassuringly*

Bi-sky: *takes a deep breath and nods, but still looks unsettled*

Rainbowstar: I will leave you two with your kits. *dips her head and walks out of the nursery*

Straightfur: *nudges Gayday and whispers* We should go, too.

Gayday: *nods and shuffles out of the nursery*

Straightfur: *turns to follow but looks back at Queerdeer and Bi-sky and clears his throat* I, uh, just wanted to thank you for letting us stay and congratulations for your kits.

Queerdeer: *smiles and nods* Thank you, Straightfur.

Straightfur: *takes a breath and looks at Bi-sky* I know it's probably not my place but . . . please don't worry too much about Demikit. I'm sure he'll figure out who he likes as he gets older, like Rainbowstar said. Besides, he has the whole Clan to help him figure it out. *smiles*

Bi-sky: *purrs softly and flicks his leg with her tail* Thanks, Straightfur. That means a lot to me.

Straightfur: *nods and leaves Queerdeer and Bi-sky with their newborn kits*
