Educated among uneducated

There was a huge commotion in the village located near Varanasi. A woman was weeping loudly and begging her family members in their knees. She was almost in a state of fainting without any energy left in her. She requested in a feeble voice, " please leave my girl child. I will grow her up. Please, please, please."  And then she fainted. They never listened to her and they did what they did to her previous six times. This was the seventh time they killed her girl child.she could tolerate this pain and she died.

In this village giving birth to a girlchild is considered a big curse. Mostly whenever a girl child is born, they kill that child. Child marriage was so common there. Girls were treated like materials being sold and bought by rich people. Also, this village is full of illiterates.

But later on, things got a little changed. By seeing their neighboring villages improving they understood education is important. But the situation for girls never changed. Education was given only to boys, not for girls.

In such a village filled with cruel men, there was a family named Walker who was very kind and helpful to others. They were a poor family and they earn by farming and agriculture.

In such a family there was a girl Riya who was loved by everyone in the family. Riya was the daughter of John and Lily. Issac and Sophia are loving grandparents of Riya. John and Lily had two sons but they loved Riya more. By looking at their love towards Riya village people considered them as idiots since they loved girl child more than a boy.

Riya was a very kind, beautiful, curious, and intelligent girl. She was so intelligent that she could relate most of the things with the things she studies from others. One day her brother was crying after the cricket match. When Riya asked her why he was crying. He told her that the catch he took hurt his hand. Then Riya gave him an idea of catching the ball after some time. She explained to him that as time increases force decreases. Likewise, Riya was a practical girl. She wants to go to school and improve her knowledge. Knowing this John went to school and requested them to admit Riya in school.

But school not only refused him but also humiliated John. They teased John's profession. But John never got angry. But John got angry when they said," Girls are materials and they should be never given any priorities".

John said" we are here only because of women. They gave birth to us and bring us up. In that case, we should be grateful to them and treat them more special. But idiotic foolish people like you never understand what is life and how it should be lived happily. Life will become beautiful only when men and women are going to be treated equally. Mother is the only person who doesn't laugh when we cry except for one time when she gives us birth. Such a beautiful nature is what women have and whereas you people think of them as materials. The difference between materials and humans is that their nature filled with good feelings. In that case, you people are materials who have no feelings considering others as materials and women are humans. No more I want my sweetheart Riya to study here where there are materials and no human." Angrily John left school and went home.
