Every Revolution Starts With One Act

After winning against Falina, Riya was selected by her school for representing them in International school events. Miss Isabelle congratulated Riya and wished her all the best for upcoming events. Riya called Sangakkara and told him that she has won the race. Sangakkara was so happy and called her by her nickname "sweetie butterfly". He told that this sweetie butterfly shouldn't stop her adventure just here and wished her all the best for upcoming events. She also told her best friend Maria about this and she too was so happy and wished her all the best.

Miss Isabelle informed Riya that the competition will happen in India this time and her first round will happen in DELHI. So she asked her to pack her necessary things and be ready for her flight at 8 pm. She packed all the things and left Srilanka along with Miss Isabelle to Delhi.

After the flight, Miss Isabelle took Riya to a 5-star hotel The Leela palace for staying till the competition gets over. Riya was so excited to see such a cozy place. Miss Isabelle told her that her first-round is after two days and she needs to practice for it. Riya promised that she will give her 100% in this.

After two days she went to the race and won it. Miss Isabelle was so happy and told her to maintain this momentum. The next round was in Mumbai after two weeks so Riya requested Miss Isabelle to allow her to go to her village to see her family and stay there for two days. Miss Isabelle agreed and took her there.

When her family saw Riya there were so happy and surprised to see her. Her brother Smith told that he was happy to see Riya's picture in the newspaper winning the first round. Riya's family greeted Miss Isabelle and arranged for her dinner.

Riya was so joyful and was recalling all her memories. Then she went out to have some view. There she saw her friend Ankita's house decorated. So she asked her father what is the reason. Her father told that Ankita is getting married to a 34-year-old man tomorrow. Her father also said that he is a divorcee. Riya asked why did he divorce the first wife. Her father told that since her first wife gave birth to three girl children he did it and he wants a boy child so that he is marrying for a second time. Riya was unhappy and decided to meet her friend Ankita. She went to her house and met Ankita. Ankita was Happy seeing her and greeted her but Riya was unhappy and told her that child marriage is not a correct decision. But Ankita was happy with her decision and she told that she doesn't want to live the same kind of life. She expects someone to love her. That's why she is okay with the marriage. Riya asked her like how could you be thinking that this is the change you need in life and he will love you too. Riya told about his divorced history but Ankita didn't believe her and asked her to leave.

Riya was so disappointed and didn't know what to do. She called Maria in the hostel number and told her everything. Maria told that this would be the great opportunity to grab everyone's attention towards education if she proves that a person to be wrong and cancels the marriage and make Ankita understand that this is not the change she needs. Maria also told Riya that she believes in Riya and Riya will definitely find a way for this.
Riya was thinking so seriously on that night. She got the idea and wanted to execute it tomorrow. That morning before the marriage Riya went to meet Ankita and she told Ankita that what she thinks is absolutely correct. She encouraged her for that change. She told her that she likes her idea but there is some mistake in it. Ankita excitedly asked what is it. She told that she might choose some younger person than this old person. If she chooses a younger person she might feel the love much more as she will have much more freedom. Ankita fell for this plan and decided to call off her marriage. Ankita called off her marriage before everyone. That person became so angry and started talking rubbish about girls. He told that girls are only materials and have to do what the men say. Most of the men agreed too.

Then Riya went to Ankita and said to her " see this is the change you were expecting to lead a happy life as a material. Reality is you should not think that someone will change your happiness.  Great ex-president of America Barack Obama says" change will not come if we wait for some other or some other time. We are the ones we have been waiting for. We are the change that we seek". Understand this. The change you should bring is education. If you are educated no one will treat you as a material and you could find your own happiness ".

Ankita realized her mistake and decided to fight for education.

Yesterday it was Riya, today it was Ankita and tomorrow there might be one or many. Every Revolution Starts with one step.
