Comeback Is Stronger Than The Setback

Riya was in a confused state, not knowing what to do next. She thought of going and defending her against that group of people Falina, Farina and Seema but she also knew that no one will believe her since the ink which they pour on her was the dry ink. She just prayed to God and was hoping for the best.

All of the students reached the ground for a physical education class. Miss Isabelle was right there checking their uniforms and shoes. She noticed Riya's shoes to be untidy but she didn't tell her anything and the class got started. Miss Isabelle asked everyone to do some warm-up exercises and told that she is going to conduct a running race today. Riya was copying exactly what others were doing since she doesn't know about warm-up exercises.

Meanwhile, that group of people was thinking why Miss Isabelle didn't do anything to her. They were thinking whether she knew that Riya was admitted with the help of Sangakkara and that's why she didn't punish her. And warm-up exercises got over and Miss Isabelle made them stand according to their houses and each one from different houses should compete with each other.

Riya was in the blue house. All blue house students used to be great athletes. Usually blue and green house used to fight a lot to win games. Riya was terrified thinking about what will happen if she doesn't win. She was recalling her past memories in the village. During her childhood, she used to run so fast but she met up with the accident where one of the Auto in the village hit her and her leg got fractured. From that time she didn't do well. Whenever she used to compete with her friends before, she used to run fastly and win over them. But after that accident, she never won it. Also, some people used to ridicule her slow running. So she was getting all these thoughts and thinking about how would she win today.

Everyone before her in the blue house won the race and now it was her turn. And it was like a match decider for a blue house vs green house. But Riya failed in winning and the green house won the race. She was running slowest of all. Blue house people were in a bit of anger against her and Riya could feel all the emotions and felt really bad on her for this. 

And this is the perfect time that a group of people thought to make fun of her and also they were part of the greenhouse. Seema told Falina and Farina that some grandma is studying with them. Hearing this Miss Isabelle thought of doing something. She called Riya and told Riya that she has to pass in the next running race which will happen next week and if she fails to do then she will be removed from the school. She told that this particular school just doesn't want the students to do well in academics but also in sports. Also, this school calculates their marks half based on academics and half based on the sports. She told Riya that if she remains like this then she has to face big consequences in the future.

Riya was totally upset and more than all the ridiculous comments passed on her she was worried about the fact that she could be removed from the school and what kind of responsibility she will show to Sangakkara who believed in her. Riya went to her hostel room and was thinking all about this. She was going to cry but she remembered the words which her father told her that she should never give up irrespective of any situation. Also, she remembered the word her friend Rahul told to her that she is the best person in anything because she does a lot of hard work to be the best and told her not to give up this habit. So after recalling these, she was a little better.

Riya went to have dinner and she saw Maria coming to sit next to her for dinner. She just greeted Maria and was all silent. Maria understood something has happened to her and she wants to boost her. Maria asked her why she is silent and Riya told nothing. Then Maria asked her that she can share anything with her and told that she did know something bad has happened to her. Then Riya told her everything that happened and Maria told her that she is going to tell her favorite real story of an athlete named Karoly Takacs. She started the story "Karoly was a great Hungarian pistol shooter. Everyone all across the world knew that Karoly was going to win the Olympics medal in 1940. And Karoly was also preparing for it. He was also a member of the army and while during his army camp his right hand was severely injured due to grenade explosion and the doctor announced his right hand is of no use. His parents all cried thinking that his son's vision has come to an end. Everyone was having sympathy for him. But Karoly was different from others. He told the doctor that his treatment should be finished as soon as possible and told his parents that whatever gone is gone but he has something left that is left hand. He focused everything on the left hand and started taking practice severely. This incident happened in 1938. During 1939 National level competition happened in Hungary, he went there to participate but everyone appreciated him for coming and supporting the rest of the players having good sportsmanship. But he told them that he hadn't come there to support anyone but to compete with everyone. Also, he won the championship. But he didn't stop there because he wanted to make his hand the best hand in the world. So he was preparing for the Olympics. But due to world war both the times in 1940 and 1944 Olympics were called off. But he didn't lose his focus, back to back in 1948 and 1952 he won gold medals. Also, he set the record of winning two gold medals consecutively in this event." Maria told her this is one of the inspirational stories for her and she told that we all should learn to focus on what we have and try our best to reach our goal. She told her that always remember only this when you doubt yourself that we may have 1000 reasons to give up but our duty should be to find one such strong reason why to not give up. Riya hugged Maria for boosting her confidence and told her that she will try her best in the next race. Also, Maria told her that she will wake her up the next morning for practice. Both of them bid each other after telling Good night. Finally, Maria told her too that "comeback is stronger than the setback always".
