Enrouting to success

After Sangakkara left the home, the family got on to sleep. Riya was recalling the words Sangakkara said to her. When Sangakkara called her for speaking alone, Sangakkara asked Riya her opinion on the Panchayat leader's proposal. Riya told him that she is confused to take the decision and feeling very difficult to take too. Riya told all the confusion she had in her mind to Sangakkara.

Sangakkara asked Riya to sit down and take a huge breath first. Then told her to close her eyes and answer his questions. Sangakkara asked her why did she like to be educated and where did she get inspiration for learning. Riya answered that she saw all the troubles women are facing in her village and she thought education would be a great way to solve these problems. And she told him that she got inspiration from many great women like Kalpana Chawla, Sunita Williams, Kiran Bedi, Indira Gandhi and so on.

Then Sangakkara asked her how did she come to know about these great personalities when the village denied education for women. Riya thanked Rahul and his family for helping her with this. Riya told him that there is one family residing next to them who are kind and good to them. In that family, there is a boy named Rahul of her age and who is currently studying in 6th standard. She added that in spite of the village restrictions, Rahul taught her how to read and write. Also, Rahul's family was also supportive like her family. Later on, looking at her interest her father used to buy low budget books for motivating her to study.

Riya was about to open her eyes, Sangakkara told her not to open her eyes as his questions are not yet over.
Sangakkara promised Riya that this would be her last question and this would definitely serve as a clue to her confusion. And the final question was what are the things that inspire her to be happy apart from any human beings and education. She answered that she becomes happy and want to be happy when she sees a butterfly.

Sangakkara asked her to finally open her eyes. He patted on her shoulders and said that she is a brilliant and smart girl to understand the clue and take a wise decision.

She was recalling all these incidents and was trying to understand the clue. She was trying for a long while and suddenly she screamed in joy as she understood the clue.

After a lot of difficult phases, cocoon changes into a beautiful butterfly loved by all. During those transformations, it gives the best it can and survive to become a beautiful butterfly. This was the message Sangakkara wanted to tell Riya to fight all the odds and become successful rather than taking the easiest way which can be actually troubling later. Also, Sangakkara understood the motive behind the Panchayat leader's proposal and wanted Riya to actually deceive the Panchayat leader by taking the proper decision.

Lily asked Riya why did she scream and what she has been thinking for a long while. Riya told her mom that she got off from confusion about whether she needs to stay in the village and study or to go along with Sangakkara for studying. Lily asked her what she has decided. She told her mom that she will go along with Sangakkara for studying. At the same time, she also understood the motive of the Panchayat leader's proposal. She understood his motive as she was being questioned why Sangakkara particularly asked this question and know that it would be her answer to make her agree to go to Srilanka along with him making her also understand the Panchayat leader's proposal.

But she was wondering how Sangakkara got an idea of this question. She immediately struck back to the moment when she was about to open her eyes just to see the butterfly. While she was answering the questions to Sangakkara one of the butterflies sat in her hands made her feel happy as she used to get happy looking at the butterfly and she also felt that it would be a butterfly and wanted to see it. By looking at that Sangakkara used his wit to make her understand and clear the confusion.

Meanwhile, she was thinking about all this her parents asked her to sleep and told her that they would be supporting her in all the decisions she makes. Her father John told that he would inform the Panchayat leader about this. Riya told her father to wait until she speaks with Sangakkara. John and Lily agreed with her.

The next day early morning she got up enthusiastically and went to meet Sangakkara in the place where he stayed in the hotel. When she reached the hotel, she informed the watchmen that she wants to meet Sangakkara and introduced her as Riya. Watchmen went inside and told Sangakkara that a girl named Riya wants to meet him. Sangakkara immediately asked the watchmen to allow Riya inside.

Sangakkara greeted Riya and offered her to do breakfast with him. In the course of this time, Riya told him a decision and thanked him. She told him that she understood what he wanted her to understand. Then Sangakkara gave a nickname to Riya as "sweetie butterfly". She loved it and thanked him again.

While they were having breakfast they both plotted against the Panchayat leader. Wait to know what did Sangakkara and his sweetie butterfly had in their minds and how will the Panchayat leader reacts to it all. Stay tuned for more updates.
