Hardly an hour passed after Sans's promise when I heard a very loud and powerful knock on the my door. Sans and I were on my couch, still. We were watching T.V. when this happened and I was pretty sure that I saw Sans's red pupil darken at the knock.
"I will go get it." I told Sans, wondering who it could be and why Sans seemed to be so troubled at the knock.
"yeah, alright, doll." Sans said in reply. "you do that."
Still wondering why Sans had the expression of a cat going to the vet, I got up and went for the door. The knocking repeated itself, this time louder. Who was this and why were they trying to burst my eardrums?
When I opened the door, I saw a familiar and tall skeleton. It was Papyrus. No wonder why Sans looked the way he did. He probably knew that knock from heart. Then again, how could you forget it?
"Oh, hello, Papyrus." I greeted him.
"HELLO, HUMAN! IS MY LAZY BROTHER STILL HERE?" Papyrus asked me, sounding angry at something. Then again, I don't think I ever met him when he didn't sound angry.
"Yeah, he is still here. Do you want me to get him for you?"
"YES."
"Alright, please come inside and wait." I said, turning around to get Sans.
When I got to the room where I left Sans, he was still on the couch and looked like he was about to fall asleep. I was surprised he wasn't sleeping already.
"w-well, who was it, sweetheart?" Sans asked, seeming nervous.
"Just your brother. He seems to want you for some reason. Do you know what this is about? Or do you not want to talk about it?"
"h-honestly, this time i have no clue what he wants. guess i better find out, though." Sans got up and went to walk to the door.
I decided not to go with him, those two deserved their privacy. I didn't need to listen to what they were talking about. It was none of my business.
Even though I tried not to listen, I couldn't help but overhear some of Papyrus's yelling. How could I not hear that, anyways?
"SANS, WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE?!" Papyrus had yelled after a minute. "I DON'T CARE ABOUT HOW LOUD I AM!" "YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT BEFORE YOU-" He seemed to get a little more quiet after that.
~Sans's POV~
(Y/N) walked into the room and went straight to me. I automatically knew what was going to happen. She would say boss wanted me, then I would have to go to him, then he would yell and me, and finally he would force me to leave. This always happened when I was doing something without his approval. This time, however, I was not as willing to leave. Not when (Y/N) is allowing me here, at least.
"w-well, who was it, sweetheart?" I asked (Y/N), trying not to give away that I knew what was happening. That was difficult.
"Just your brother. He seems to want you for some reason. Do you know what this is about? Or do you not want to talk about it?" She asked me.
"h-honestly, this time i have no clue what he wants. guess i better find out, though." I said, getting up and heading to Papyrus. Luckily, (Y/N) didn't follow me in there. She probably would have heard some things she wouldn't want to hear.
"h-hey, boss." I greeted my brother, hoping I wouldn't have to say anything about...well...anything.
"SANS, YOU IMBICILE! HOW DARE YOU HANG UP ON ME?! I CALLED YOU TEN TIMES AND YOU DID NOT ANSWER!" He basically yelled at me. I hoped it wasn't loud enough for (Y/N) to hear.
"w-well, boss, there was a bad connection and h-honestly, i couldn't answer you with that." I said a complete lie. I just didn't want to listen to him, so I had put my phone on silent.
"I'M SURE THAT WAS WHAT HAPPENED!" Papyrus said, I knew he just did not believe my lie. "SANS, WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE?!"
"i'm just visiting and staying over for the night, b-boss....you may want to keep it down, though." I realized that I just told boss something he would take as me ordering him around and quickly tried to justify saying that. "you never know of who may be listening and i don't think you want anyone to just hear what we are saying..."
"YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT BEFORE YOU ANGERED ME!" He said, getting a little more quiet at the end. At least he listened to me suggesting that he stayed quiet.
"listen, b-boss. i just wanted to stay here for a bit...it is my day off, so i-i can do that." I defended myself.
As soon as I said that, though, I had immediate regret. Papyrus stared directly into my soul with pure anger. He did not like anything that I had just said to him.
