*Your POV*

"Sans?" I asked after a moment of silence. He had seemed to zone out after I asked him if he wanted to stay over instead of going back to Papyrus. I was worried for him, maybe even also for his relationship with his brother.

"yeah, doll?" Sans asked back, seeming to not notice how he had just been spacing out.

"You want to stay over?" I asked again, this time not wanting to mention his brother. That could have been the problem.

"oh, yeah, right. i can totally stay over, sweetheart. just lemme call boss-i mean papyrus. he will want to know where i am." Sans told me, walking out the room.

I had asked Sans to stay over and I thought that it would be fun, but now I wasn't so sure. I didn't want him to get in trouble with Papyrus and that seemed to be what I was doing. Maybe I should have done something to help their relationship out. A brothers' night out?

If I did do that, I don't think either of them would go. Even if they did, I couldn't be there to monitor what they were doing. I mean, I could spy on them, but it is called brothers' night out for a reason. They were supposed to be specifically alone together and having fun. If that was even possible, at least.

Now I just wasn't sure if it was a good idea or not. No matter what, though, my thoughts were interrupted by Sans talking in the other room.

"boss, i am just staying over at (Y/N)'s house, you know, our neighbor. it's not a big deal." He said into his phone. Why did I get the feeling that this was not getting accepted by Papyrus easily?

"i understand, b-boss, but really you shouldn't need to do anything like that. y-yeah, sure." Now he was beginning to sound nervous. "b-bye, boss."

At that point, I had made up my mind about what I was going to do for them. I wanted Sans to live happily with his brother, and I was sure it would make Papyrus happy, too. I wanted them to solve their problems. Now it was just setting up everything and getting them to talk. This would not be easy without giving away what I was doing. I didn't want Sans or Papyrus to know my plans.

When Sans walked back in the room a few moments after he said goodbye. He seemed to look nervous and he was sweating slightly. I still wasn't sure how that was even possible. It was probably just magic.

"Is everything alright?" I asked him.

"yeah, 'course, doll. why would anything not be alright?" Sans was clearly lying. One of these days I will get a truthful answer from him.

"Alright...Well, Papyrus said that it is fine if you stay over, right?"

"yep. He was totally fine with it." Now, I wasn't sure if that was a lie or not, but it seemed like one. This would take a lot of work if I were to get them to even make eye contact. Now I was regretting already promising to myself that I would at least attempt to get them to do this.

"Good, so what do you want to do?"

"not sure, sweetheart. you live here, not me." He had a point.

"Well, I have a TV, computer, games, food, other things..." I suggested, trying to resist the urge to return the mood to how it felt earlier.

"other things?" Sans asked me, he sounded actually curious of what other things there were.

"Yeah, you know. Stuff like going outside and watching the clouds."

"as much as i have admired the sky ever since we monsters were let above ground, if i rather watch it than do something less calming with you, we have a cirrus problem with our relationship."

Did he just make a pun? He did and, though it was cheesy, it still got a small laugh out of me. It's not often that you hear a skeleton making cloud puns.

"Well that was pretty humerus." I decided to join in on his puns, getting a slight chuckle out of Sans.

"yeah, puns really tickle peoples' funny bones." Sans did another pun, getting another laugh from me.

"I'm sure they do and I am sure you enjoy them."

"i do enjoy them, but if i had to choose, i would want to stay with ulna you."

Was that a flirt and a pun? It sounds like something he would do, but I wasn't expecting that. I felt a blush appear on my face as Sans's grin just on wider. He seemed to be enjoying what he had just done.

"nice to see you appreciate the pun, doll. now we should probably do something else because other people may not like my puns as much."

"But there is no-one else around." I said, confused. "It doesn't matter how many puns you make here."

"wanna know something i learned while being underground? you never know who is watching. right now, i feel like living by that statement."

At that moment I felt a sudden chill, like someone was watching us. It made me feel uneasy and I didn't like it. Yet, like how it appeared suddenly, it was gone.

"Alright..." I tried to continue as calmly as possible. "How about we watch TV? Nothing bad can come from that."

"that'd work, doll. I rather do that than just stand around, anyways."

That was basically telling me that he would rather sit down and be unproductive than stand up and be unproductive. Well, it made sense to me.

Sans and I both went and sat down on my couch and turned on the TV. The news was on.
