Fences
Plunged into self-deception
We think our fences will stop the malignant,
Fences that proscribe anything beyond our comfort zones
Fences that malign others when the hollowness within bawls
Barriers that disparage humanity, when ravenous,
So when someone tries to show us something beyond those fences,
We pull out the Spears of irrationality,
Cross-stitch the fences again and again,
Until all a squall abandons, is the Barren land
