Shelter from the storm
Back on an old country road
power was out and everything was dark
lightning drew a spark and danger was a load
all alone in a empty park
Suddenly a woman had spotted me
covered in rain and my head was down
She said, "Hey are you hungry or thirsty I just made some tea?"
My face was no longer a hurtful frown
The thunder was a roaring lion
My feet kept running to her in a hurry
Hunger pains were rumbling feels like I was dying or maybe close I don't want to be lying
She says, "Hurry up I have plenty of food so don't you worry!"
Finally I made it to her home and it was warm
She gave me a dry towel and some soup as well
Ironically Bob Dylan's song was playing on her radio called shelter from the storm
I smiled and thanked her for getting me out of the rain but what is that strange smell?
