The Fray

When your legs grow tired and your hands start to shake,

And your mind goes numb when your will starts to break,

You see your long miles stretch further away,

And soon you lose your way, as you rush into hasteful pace,

Down strange paths and into a most unfamiliar place,

It's a place where the graves are unmarked,

And friends are ill to find,

Oh what a lonely place it is, where the world has left you behind,

You will look around but you won't find a way,

Oh you will fall deep! Down dark roads you will go astray,

It's where the mind can rot, Its where the senses decay,

You can forget who you were and worse,

you can decide to stay,

Nay! T'is not your place,

So halt, leap and plunge into the fray,

And should your legs grow tired and your hands start to shake

And your mind goes numb and your will starts to break,

Remember this place,

Its a place where no man did ever find,

Peace is only in the triumph of success,

Or in the knowledge that you gave your best,

And you are still ready give it again one last time,
