(Sorry for the delay guys, things have gotten a bit crazy on my end. Anyways hope you all enjoy :P )
Elia looked at herself in the mirror. Watching the scars come down from her sides and over her hips trailing further down until they spiraled down into her inner thighs and disappeared from her view. The girl wasn't sure if she was delighted or disgusted by them. She ran the tip of her fingers over one of them until the sound of Lecter calling her from the kitchen. Elia took one last glance as herself in the reflective surface before throwing on a white long sleeve sweater and a pair of black jeans.
"How did you sleep Ellie?" He asked pouring her a cup of coffee. She shrugged wrapping her hands around the ceramic object. The liquid within began to heat the outside making her palms sting slightly, but she enjoyed the bitter sweetness of its warmth.
The doctor placed a plate upon the counter before her then went back to his work at the stove. She looked seeing fired eggs, toast already covered in red jam, apple slices, and some sausage. It all smelt lovely making her stomach groan in approval at what was given to her.
Elia started to eat her breakfast slowly and listened to Hannibal's next few words.
"I was thinking about what you told me in your last session." her eyes moved from the plate and lingered upon him for a moment unsure of how she felt already. "Perhaps it would make you feel more comfortable if we talked about something you liked rather than venturing into the darkness right away."
"What if there is only darkness?" her words sounded distant making her look almost defeated from a battle most were unaware of.
The Good Doctor walked over putting an arm around her shoulders trying to comfort her slightly. "Then we start somewhere where the darkness isn't as thick."
She sighed closing her eyes letting her world she had been fighting from within play out for a moment. Perhaps the world was ready to see what had been incubating within this girl.
