After some time the doctors agreed to release her into the Good Doctor's care once more. She half expected him to scold her for the mistake she had made but death still seemed sweeter than returning to her uncle.

When She entered the car Hannibal gave her a small smile. "How are you feeling today Ellie?" She gave a small shrug unsure of how to act in this situation. Before he could start a conversation Elia turned her attention to the window and the blurred shapes that flew by. It took some time for her to take in that the route home wasn't familiar. She turned with a questioning expression.

Blood stained his outfit and he seemed to slightly more relaxed than usual. It would explain for why he didn't seem to be in all too much of a hurry to return home. "Is everything alright?" Elia asked in a shaky voice. He looked to her for only a moment flashing a warm half smile. Giving him an almost smug look.

"I just finished up with some hunting Elie"
"Hunting?"
"Yes, I have hobbies just as you do."

Elia shivered slightly as her hobbies came to mind. "Are you hungry?" Hannibal's voice came so suddenly she almost jumped from her seat. Hungry? Hunger hadn't been on her mind recently, but as her thoughts came to rest upon food she felt the discomfort of hunger twist away at her stomach.

"Perhaps"

That word was left to hang in the air between them for some time. Letting the teen dwell upon the dull ache from her stitches and letting her nerves take over. She started to pick slightly at the dark strings that had been laced threw her flesh binding broken bits together.

Softly the Good Doctor placed a hand on her knee giving it a comforting squeeze. "I already prepared lunch for us." He said with cheer to his voice.

"Are...Are you mad at me?" Elia's voice cracked slightly as a lump formed in her throat. The teen was trying to keep herself from crying but it was starting to become a challenge.

"No." Hannibal paused for a moment. "You did what you thought was right. It may have not been the best option but, when animals in the wild are cornered they do terrible things." The car came to a stop as the Good Doctor had pulled over on the side of the road. "Did you feel cornered?"
