The water had turned from a deep red to a transparent pink as it slithered down the drain. Elia held herself tightly as her body shook. She was losing control of herself in a way she feared more than hell itself. She bowed her head and began to cry mixing her pain with what was left of this boy. Blood and tears soon swept away to never be seen again.

The Good Doctor lightly knocked upon the door after hearing the girl's soft whimpers. There was no response and he knew she didn't want him right now, and she wouldn't listen to a word he said as things stood. Lecter sighed and went back to his tasks that called for his attention downstairs.

After sometime the girl removed herself from the water and dressed herself in a pair of pajama bottoms and a black hoodie. Elia moved through the halls slowly until she stood in the frame of the doorway. Watching Lecter move around as he cooked.

Her face was pale and there were dark spots under her eyes. Elia looked sick but part of it was from the turning of her stomach. She didn't say anything but her lips twitched here and there as if she were going to speak. The first words spoken between them came from Hannibal himself.

"Would you like something to eat?"

She flinched slightly as she was almost surprised from him speaking something kind. She half expected him to be angry with her. Lightly she rubbed her arm and walked further into the kitchen until all that separated the two was the counter. He glanced at her here and there as he moved things around on the stove.

"Why was I named Elia?"

He smiled a bit. "Well when you were found no one could get you to tell them your name and no one could find a trace of you in any of the police records."

"And?"

"I picked Elia."

"Why?"

"It means Lamb."

"Lambs don't kill" she snapped.

"True but lambs are innocent they follow the paths that are put before them. You cannot erase the truth that has been taught to a child, let alone a lamb." He turned off the stove and walked over to Elia placing his hand under her chin making her look up at him. "There is nothing wrong with you."

He leaned in and pressed his lips to her forehead. A tear slid down her cheek as a bit of pain shot through her heart. Another lump formed in her throat.

"I don't want to be like this."

"Like what?"

"A killer.....I liked the taste of his flesh and blood. I'm sick."

"No." he placed two fingers under her chin making her eyes meet his own. "You are something much more beautiful." The Good Doctor whispered. "I can show you how to control it if you wish."

Elia bit her lip feeling her fingers start to shake but with a misplaced form of excitement. It scared her to hear this but at the same time it was comforting to not be shut out for what had become of the child she once was. Her eyes moved to the floor then back to him. Her arms laced around his neck in a tight embrace which he returned by putting his arms around her waist. "I.....I love you Dad." she whispered.

He smiled "I love you too Ellie."
