"Come on Camila. It's one bracelet. Well, it's two but still!", Normani complained as we stood in one of the mall's many stores. She wanted to buy us friendship bracelets but I didn't want to use her money and they were like 10 dollars each. "Normani, I'll keep saying it. I don't want to use your money." She huffed before grabbing two of the bracelets and speed walking over to the counter. "Mani!", I said running over to her and trying to stop her. "Ha! Already bought them.", she said wiggling the bag with the two bracelets in my face. "Dang it!", I pouted. She chuckled and grabbed my hand before walking out of the store.

"You want a pretzel or something?", she asked swinging our hands as we walked. "Well, there's no use arguing so yeah sure.", I chuckled and she smiled at me before walking over to the little shop. We got in line and there were about 2 people in front of us. "What do you want?", she asked leaning against the counter. "Just a pretzel." She looked at me with an 'I know you want a drink too' face. "Okay, a lemonade too." she smiled and turned around. The two people in front of us left and we were up. "Hi, can I get 2 pretzels and... what size you want?", she asked turning to me. "Uh, a small." She turned back to the cashier and said,"And two small lemonades." The lady at the register smiled and said our food would be ready soon. Normani thanked her and we walked over to a bench and sat down.

"So how did you know it was me?", I asked fiddling with my fingers. "Lauren has a hard time keeping her mouth shut.", she chuckled and watched as my face heated up and I got a bit angry. "Milz calm down. She didn't straight up tell me. She just gave away too many hints. I didn't think it was you at first cause I didn't actually know what you were like, so I thought she was lying. But now I know she wasn't. And i'm happy she wasn't lying cause your cool as fuck.", she finished and then I realized I had calmed down a bit. But I was still a little pissed. "I'm still gonna kill her.", I said crossing my arms. Normani laughed and looked at her phone. "Shoot. We gotta go it's almost 11:00.", she said standing up. "We have not been in the mall for an hour and a half!", I said in shock since I lost track of time which I normally don't do. "Yeah we have and now we gotta leave. Come on.", she said grabbing my hand and running to the pretzel shop. We grabbed our bags and drinks and paid. Then we ran out of the mall and to Normani's car. It was 10:25 and it took about a half hour to get back to my house so we were going to be just in time. We quickly got into Normani's car and sped off. About halfway there she turned on the radio and we listened to music the rest of the ride.

When we got there it was 10:59 and we ran into my house just in time for it to turn to 11:00. "Just in time!", Normani said as we walked into the kitchen. "Yeah but wanna know something funny. My parents aren't even home.", I said walking into the living room and flopping down on the couch. Normani came over and sat down next to me. Right, when she sat down, the front door opened and my parents walked in. "Your late your late.", I said tapping my invisible watch. "Mija, you shush.", my dad joked as he closed the door. "So who is your friend?", my mom asked walking over to us after hanging her jacket up. Normani and I stood and I introduced them. "Mom, this is Normani. My friend from school.", I said and watched as my mom shook Normani's hand. "Normani, this is my mom Sinuhe and my dad Alejandro." My dad walked over and shook her hand as well. "Very nice to meet you Normani. Mija talks about you lots.", my dad said. My eyes widen and I stared at my dad. There was an awkward silence for a few seconds but my mom soon spoke. "Well, your dad and I are gonna go to bed. Good night Camila. It was nice meeting you Normani.", my mom said and her and my dad walked upstairs.

I and Normani sat on the couch and watched TV for about a half hour. "Do you really talk about me a lot?", she said looking towards me. "Well, I would talk about you sometimes. But not a lot.", I said embarrassed because I was always talking about her. "Well, I should get going. My mom just texted me.", she said as we stood up. "it was fun hanging out with you. We should again next weekend.", Normani said stepping out of the door. "Definitely.", I said and she gave me a hug. "I'll text you when I get home." "Okay, I'll see you tomorrow.", I said and she started walking towards her car. I watched as she got into her car and drove away.

I walked up to my room and sat on my couch. I turned my TV on and started watching some kids show. I honestly like kids shows better than normal shows. I watched it for about 20 minutes and started to fall asleep so I went to bed. But before I fell asleep, my phone went off.
