When I woke up, it was dark out. I rubbed my eyes and stretched. I looked over at the TV and it was still on but Lauren wasn't in the bed anymore. She probably left after I fell asleep because she hates sleeping during the day. Something about it messing up her sleep scheduled. I don't get it, cause I always sleep. I sat up and stretched again. Then I grabbed my phone off the nightstand and turned it on. There were 3 messages from Mani. "Crap.", I said to myself. I unlocked my phone and opened the texts. 

(Mani - 5:30)

Hey

I got your letter. You can keep the sweatshirt I'm not mad

(Mani - 5:46)

I guess you're asleep. Text me when you get up

I wanted to text her back right away, but in a way, I was still mad at her. I decided to wait until after dinner. I unplugged my phone and made my way downstairs. Lauren was sitting in the living room watching Sponge Bob. "Hey, how was your nap sleepy head?", she said looking up at me and smiling. "It was good." I sat down. "My mom is making dinner. It'll be done soon. Your favorite for dessert." I gasped and smiled. "Banana Boats!?", I yelled bouncing up and down. Lauren just laughed.

"Have you heard anything from Normani?", Lauren said keeping attention on the TV. "Yeah, but I don't really want to talk to her. I'm gonna wait till after-" "Dinner!", Lauren's mom yelled from the kitchen. "Dinner.", I said finishing my sentence. Lauren laughed and we both got up and went to the kitchen. 

Dinner went on as normal. We talked about random stuff. And it wasn't awkward at all, which I was surprised about cause I thought Lauren's parents would talk about Normani. But they didn't so I was happy about that. Now me and Lauren were back in her room and we were watching SpongeBob. Well, Lauren was but I was just thinking about whether I should text Normani or not. "Lolo, I'll be right back. I gotta drop the kids off at the pool.", I said getting up and heading towards the bathroom. "TMI.", she said keeping her eyes on the TV. I laughed and walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind me.

(Sorry I haven't updated guys. I have been really caught up in family and holidays. But omg we are at 9k reads! That is amazing! Now we just gotta wait for 10k and we will have ourselves a nice long chapter. You're gonna see what it's about next chapter. Oh and, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!🎉🎉 I love you guys so much and I hope you all had a great 2017 and I hope you all have an even better 2018. I love ya'll. ❤❤)
