I was laying in my bed, under 3 blankets, watching season 2 of Stranger Things. I never really understood the show but there was nothing else good on Netflix other than Pretty Little Liars and I didn't want to watch all 7 seasons for the third time. I have barely moved from my bed all day, other than to pee or get food cause my mom wouldn't get it for me. When I told Mani I feel like crap, I wasn't being extra. I had an awful couch, my nose was stuffed yet still flowing like Niagara Falls, and my head was so hot that if you cracked an egg on it, i'm sure it would cook. But I refuse to take medicine because it's disgusting and I can heal perfectly fine by myself.

I had been sleeping almost all day but woke up at about 4:00 because I needed to pee. So I, slowly but surely, got up and walked to my bathroom. I finished and walked back to my bed and heard a knock on the front door. I laid down hoping that my mom would answer the door and she did. I heard faint talking for a minutes or two and then someone walking up the stairs. There was a knock on my door and I said as loud as I could, without hurting my throat,"Come in!" The door slowly opened and soon I saw Normani walking into my room.

"Holy crap Mila. You look awful.", she said closing the door and walking over to sit on the edge of my bed. "Thanks, I try.",I said sarcastically. "Oh, shoot i'm sorry. I didn't mean..." I laughed. "It's okay. I know what you meant.", I chuckled. I laughed a little too much and I started coughing really hard. "Geez, Mila that sound worse than 'not the bad'.", she said. "Well, I didn't want to worry you.", I said wiping my node with a tissue. "Geez Mila. You been stuck in bed all day?", she said taking the bag full of tissues out of my trash can and trying it. "Yeah, and i'm gonna be alone all day tomorrow.", said putting my hands on my forehead cause it hurts. "Why?", she said setting the bag down and sitting back down on the bed. "Cause my dad has to work and my mom is going somewhere with Sofi." The look on her face showed that she thought for a second and then she looked back at me.

"You're not gonna be alone anymore. I'm staying here tomorrow. In fact, i'm gonna stay here tonight too.",Normani said standing up and picking up the bag. "Mani you don't have-" "Nope no I insist. I'm going to talk to your mom right now.",she said walking too fast, and I couldn't protest.

About five minutes later, Normani came walking back into my room, with a smile on her face. "Lemme guess.", I said. "I can stay!", she said running over and jumping on top of me. "Ow, Mani!", I said when her elbow dug into my crotch. "Oh, sorry.", she said getting off of me and laughing, and she laid down next to me. "Thank you for staying here tonight.", I said wiping my nose with the 10,000 time today. "It's no problem. I just wanna make sure you get better.", Normani said smiling at me. "My body gets over illnesses fast i'm sure I'll be good in a day or so."

For the rest of the day, me and Normani just watched TV shows and talked about random, stupid stuff. We ended up getting Chinese food because for some reason when i'm sick I really want take out. We watched the new movie 'IT' and I think I need a little and I think Mani is missing an eardrum but it was a good movie overall. I tried to stay awake for the next movie but with the combination of Normani playing with my hair and already being tired I was out like a light within 5 minutes.
