"Are you any good at soccer?" I demanded from Peter.
"P-pardon?" He wasn't listening the first time and I had to repeat myself.
"I said, are you any good at soccer?"
"Oh. You mean football?"
"Not unless you're a Brit and even then it's still soccer."
He looked away towards the other teams playing. "Yeah, whatever football, soccer, same thing."
"So?" I demanded again.
He looked at me again, confusion shining in his eyes. "So...? What?"
"Are you any good at soccer?"
"Oh, you actually wanted an answer for that."
Well yeah, I don't talk because I like the sound of my voice.
"Yes. So?"
"I'm okay, not a professional, but also not a rookie."
"Let's put that to test." I kicked him the ball, which went flying past him.
"Fetch, boy." I laughed as he awkwardly ran after the ball.
"We've got 10 minutes before we play another team, so show me what you got," I grinned at him as he dribbled the ball back towards me.
He tried to dribble to ball around me, to no avail. For 5 minutes the ball stayed in his possession, and also away from his goal. He made several attempts to get past me any way possible. He tried to fake me out and kick it through my legs, but unfortunately for him, I saw it coming.
I trapped the ball, and he ran past me, not expecting the ball to stop. He spun around in confusion, and charged at me when he realised I stole the ball. I kicked the ball at him, bouncing it off his head, knocking him back onto his butt, and booted it towards the goal.
It went in through the centre of the net and I let out a whoop. But my celebration was short lived as Mr McHotty called out.
"Cecil, Ulsan. You're up." He yelled out across the field.
Smelly Peter - who mind you, didn't actually smell - and I ran towards our teacher, dribbling the ball between us.
"Turner, Green. You're versing Cecil and Ulsan." He kicked the two a ball, as they sat up off the ground. Considering Peter and I kicked him out ball when we got there, the other team is probably starting.
I say team, but it's really a two vs two scenario. Peter Ulsan and Athena Cecil vs Michael Turner and Stacey Green. Michael, as everyone knows, is one of the star players on the school football team, but that doesn't mean he can't play soccer. And Stacey Green....well I can't say much for her, for all I know she's terrible at sport.
Mr Holland blew his whistle and let the games begin! Michael started off with the ball, dribbling it back and forth across the field, ignoring Stacey's shouts of "I'm open! Kick it to me! I'm free."
Michael gave the ball a kick, which somehow managed to go up and over his head, back in the direction of the other goal. Peter was there to pick it up, figuratively of course, no hands in soccer, and kick it towards me.
Unfortunately it never made it to me, as Stacey intersected the ball. She tries to dribble it away from me, giving up when it got nowhere and then gave it a boot. Well tried to anyway.
The ball stayed in the same spot, but Stacey flipped backwards, sliding on her butt, giving herself a grassy ass.
I kicked the ball up, bounced it on my knee and said, "Gracias!" Then dribbled the ball to the goal, where Michael was waiting.
