"We're going to make donuts?" I gaped at him.

Percy just nodded.

"I don't know how to make donuts!" I told him.

Percy grabbed ahold of my hand, once again and walked me over to a bench.

It was stainless steel, and completely clean. Large enough for us to make donuts on.

There were a few bits and bobs lying about on the table, a mixing bowl, some utensils, some flour.

Percy reached over and grabbed the mixing bowl from the side of the table. "Maria already made the dough for us, because well truth be told I can't do that, without stuffing something up."

He took the cling wrap off the top of the bowl and set the bowl facing downwards. He gave it a tap and the dough fell out onto the table with a loud thud.

I stared at the dough, not knowing what to do with it. Percy glanced at me and laughed. "It's not going to bite you know. Come on."

He ripped the dough into two bits and slapped it on the table. "Grab the flour."

I grabbed the flour from the side.

"Now spread a little bit on the table." He told me.

I opened up the container spilling some on the table, stopping when Percy nodded at me.

"Grab your dough."

I grabbed the dough.

"Grab a rolling pin."

I grabbed a rolling pin.

"Now roll." He instructed.

He put his dough down on the spread flour and rolling the pin back and forth over it. But I was going to be smart with him.

I didn't put the dough on the flour, and rolled the pin over it while I held it in the air.

It took a while for him to notice me.

When he finally did turn my way, his jaw dropped. "What are you doing?" He asked me.

I smiled smugly at him. "You never told me to put the dough down."

Percy groaned. "I shouldn't have to. Put the dough down and roll."

This time I put the dough down and rolled it. I rolled it nice and good. Backs and forth, until it took up maybe a thirty by thirty centimetre area.

It was around half an inch think, and I stopped along with Percy when we thought it was good enough.

"Step 2!" Percy exclaimed. "Cut!"

He gave me a donut shaped cutter (duh) and told me to press it in the dough a wiggle it slightly.

I did as he said, but it took me a few tries, considering I kept breaking the dough and it never came out with the hole in the middle.

I was about to chuck the dough from the cut hole to the side, but Percy stopped me with a light slap on the hand.

"Keep that. We can fry it as well and make donut holes out of them." He told me.

So I didn't chuck it out, but I still chucked it towards the side.

I had made nine weird looking donuts out of the dough and had finished just before Percy who had only made eight.

He stared at me and then the donuts and then me again. "How did you get nine?" He asked in disbelief.

I winked at him. "Magic."
