By the time Monday rolled around I had watched practically all the classic old Disney movies, the movie marathon lasting all throughout Saturday afternoon and the entirety of Sunday.

I didn't want to wake up this morning, pulling the covers high over my head, burying myself from the bright light. Unfortunately when Dad came into my room and ripped the covers off of me, i was forced to get up. But not before curling into a protective ball.

"Up and at em Pumpkin." Dad said pulling me into his arms and let letting me flop back onto the bed, cracking the egg.

I grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. "Go away. Five more minutes."

He laughed. "That's what you said fifteen minutes ago." Did I? "Let's go, up you get."

"Ugh. Fiiiine." I groaned slowly swinging my legs over the edge. "You can go now, I'm up."

"Yeah right. You'll just get back into bed." He knows me so well. "Into the shower and then I'll leave."

"You're a cruel man." I say before jumping off the bed and heading towards my bathroom.

I walk in, and turn around to still see my dad there. "I-uh-I need to get undressed."

"I'm not leaving until you get in the shower." He frowned at me. Of course. He remembered the time I faked a shower and fell asleep.

"Yeah....but..." I motioned down at my body. Mainly my important areas.

"So? I've seen it all before."

"That was years ago! When I was a baby." I whined.

"You're still my baby." He reached out and pinched my cheek.

"Just turn around at least, I don't want you looking." I compromised.

He spun around and I quickly got undressed. I wished I could close the bathroom door right now, but it was still in getting repairs after I 'accidentally' punched a hole in it.

I turned on the water and stepped into the shower, closing the glass behind me.

"You can leave now," I call to him. But I got no response, he must've left already.

I couldn't afford to have a too long shower, I mean I don't want to be late for school. If I'm going to school, I'm making sure I get there on time.

Stepping out of the shower and drying myself, a pick out a random outfit from my wardrobe. I put on a red skirt that sits just above my knee, and a plain white laced long sleeve.

I blindly chose a pair of shoes, which just so happened to be a pair of white vans, matching perfectly. Lucky me.

When I walked downstairs into the kitchen, my parents were nowhere to be seen, and there was a bowl of cereal sitting on the counter waiting for me. They must've poured it before leaving for work.

My little sister Ebony, was of course nowhere to be seen, mum probably took her to school early today. Good, that means I don't have to.

As I chowed down on my bowl of cereal, I notice dads car keys were sitting near the basket of fruit next to the fridge. I put my bowl in the sink, after slurping up all the milk, and inspected the keys.

Dad had obviously left them on purpose, because there was a little note next to them, written on a napkin.

Athena
Drive yourself to school today, my treat. Just don't ruin my car. Or you're paying for it.
Love Dad x

I squealed. Dad never lets me drive his car. Even though I've had my licence for a year now, I haven't driven much. I don't have my own car, and Dad doesn't seem to trust me to drive his baby. Until now apparently.
