I'm officially crazy, Trey thought as he signed himself into the guest log of the maternity division of one of the most popular hospitals in the entire state. There wasn't anyone close to him who was necessarily sick or anything, but Elysandra had left her number and what hospital she would be going to on the piece of paper that had ruined his relationship, so after Demi left him naked and still slightly broken hearted, he decided to pay her a visit. He just needed to clear this whole thing up once and for all. A part of him, a very strong part of him, knew that confronting Elysandra and making her tell the truth wouldn't bring Demi back, but he needed this for himself as well. Legally, Demi was still his wife. But he had to move on because their relationship wasn't healthy for either of them. Love really just wasn't enough.

Standing in the threshold of room 314, Trey watched as Elysandra cuddled her son to his chest, all of his innocence swaddled in a baby blue blanket. The lights in the room were dimmed down and she was humming the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" in an attempt to get him to go to sleep. It all made him think of Demi and for a second he wished that she was right next to him, conquering this battle with him. But that was unrealistic.

"Knock, knock," Trey said he entered the room, because he didn't know what else to say. Elysandra was surprised to see him, to say the least, but she still managed to flash him a tired smile as she tried to sit up a little bit. "Don't, you're good."

Why was he being so nice to her? She basically destroyed the best relationship that he had ever had. But then again, a part of him knew that he couldn't blame that on Elysandra. She didn't help, but him and Demi were doomed from the start...clearly.

"What are you doing here?"

"I came to see my son," Trey said, as seriously as he could. That's when he saw her shoulders drop, and she looked down at her child before looking back at Trey.

"Trey, he's not your son." She said it so quietly that Trey wouldn't have been able to hear her if it wasn't dead silent in the room except for the beeping of a few machines.

"I know that. So, why me? Why would you try to pin him on me? Do you not know who is father is?"

"I know who he is. I don't know why I did it but-"

"No, you're going to have to do a little better than that. You basically destroyed my relationship with Demi and you know that. So, why did you do it?" Trey repeated as Elysandra shook her head.

"When Demi came to visit, we all went out to dinner together. Then we were all walking through the streets of New York and I saw the way you looked at Demi, the way you cared about her. It was like the two of you were in your own little world and no one else mattered. Then, this woman with a baby approached Demi and started talking about how big of a fan she was and Demi asked to hold her baby. And you looked at her like she singlehandedly created the whole universe. Once she gave the baby back, you told her you wanted her to have your kids and she would be so amazing as a mother and all I could think was, that's the kind of man I want for my baby. Realistically, I knew we would never be together so I'm not lying when I say that I really don't know why I did it and I am so sorry, Trey. I really am," Elysandra apologized as Trey ran his hand over his head and closed his eyes. Sorry wasn't going to turn back time.
