Lance is in a scenario where he needs a blood transfusion. For some reason the pods don't fill this function, or maybe it's surgery. Whatever the need, Lance needs the blood quickly and Keith is the only one with the same human blood type. After the transfusion, Lance starts getting Galra looks from the alien elements of Keith's blood. Freedom from there. Just a thought train on how different Keith's blood is- like how this wasn't noticed at doctor's appointments growing up or medical checkups at the academy.
