The next day he woke up early around 4 am. He waited until it was 5 am. Then, he heard her sing again. She was humming at first. Then words started coming out of her mouth.

So I lay my head back down,
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours I pray, to be only yours, I know now, you're my only hope

He smiled after the song. It soothes and calms his mind. And he don't mind waking up this early everyday if it meant hearing her beautiful voice.

Later that morning before going to work, he knocked again to her door.

"Hello!", he said smiling at the door as if it was her.

"Good Morning", he added.

He didn't get any response.

"May pandesal ako dito, baka gusto mo. Mainit init pa", he continued.

No response.

"Bakit nasa ibabaw ng cake ang kandila?", he asked not giving up.

He waited for fifteen seconds then grinned when she answered.

"Bakit?"

"Siyempre alangan sa ilalim diba? Paano 'yon? Hawhaw", he kid.

She didn't answer. He was about to leave when she spoke again.

"Wala ng iba?"

He stopped. Then smiled.

"Anong tawag sa hotdog na nahulog?"

"Ano?"

"Edi hotdog pa rin", he said laughing so hard. But, he didn't hear her laugh.

Atleast nanghihingi na siya ng joke, he thought.

"Alis na ako"

"Sige"

He opened his mouth in disbelief. She answered him.

Sumasagot na siya sa akin. Wait, isa pa.

"Bye", he said crossing his fingers. Hoping he will hear her voice again.

He waited for atleast 3 minutes.

"Bye",his heart jumped when she answered.

He tapped the door and whispered:

"Bru, nararamdaman ko na, malapit ka na magbukas"

He then winked at the close door.

Shaking his head as he made his way towards the elevator.
Nakakabaliw, he thought and he just can't keep himself from smiling.
