Twelfth

"Pasok ka", he heard her say.

He can't move and just stared blankly at the close door.

Ano daw? Ako? Pasok?

His heart beats faster as he held the door knob and slowly turned it. The creaking sound of the door is all he can hear plus the loud thud of his heart. The door finally opened and there he saw a girl on a wheel chair but he didn't mind tho, all of his attention is on her angelic face and soulful eyes that's looking back at him. He smiled then waved "Hi"

She waved back.

"Hello. Andun yung suka", she muttered giving him a small smile as she pointed on the direction of her kitchen.

He was mesmerized by her face he didn't answer immediately.

"Ku... Kunin ko na?", he asked when he saw discomfort on her eyes.

She just nodded.

While getting the vinegar he saw a soy sauce beside it.

Wala daw toyo, he pouted.

He went back to her with a vinegar on his hand then stop when he was standing infront of her and once again captivated by her beautiful face. He held his chest as he felt the unsteady rhythm of her heart. Unsteady but it feels so good, he smiled.

They were silent for thirty seconds, she counted. And like a real gentleman he introduced himself to her.

"Hi, Richard", he said extending his hand for a hand shake.

"Hindi ba yan naknak??", she kid.

"Hindi", he chuckled.

She took his hand and they looked at each other's eyes, surprised, as they felt bolt of electricity the moment their hands touched.

"De.. Dei", she stammered, shaking their hands.

"Hi Dei. Ang gandang pangalan. Akala ko kasi yan yung kanta ni April Boy eh"

"Ha... Ha?"

"Yung ano.. Dei ko kayang tanggapin na mawawala ka na sa akin"

She grinned from ear to ear that made his heart fell.

Ang ganda..

"Mali ka. Yun yung kanta ni Sam Milby", she said still grinning.

"Anong kanta?", he asked. His eyes still pinned on her beautiful face.

Haaaaay...

"Dei kita iiwan, dei pababayaan", she sang.

He laugh heartily even though he didn't know the song. He's just too happy not to laugh.

They stayed in that position for another minute. Both hands still together, her smiling, him grinning. Then she cleared her throat and that was his signal.

"Magluluto na ako", he said looking at her eyes.

"Ng sinigang?"

"Oo. Sinigang"

"Pwede patikim?"

"Ha? Oo naman! Sige, sure"

"Ok"

"Tamang tama, magluto na ako para sakto sa lunch"

"Ok"

"Luto na ako"

"Hmm.. Yung kamay ko"

"Ahh.. Oo nga", then he let go of her hand, he bit his lip as he missed her hand against his.

The feeling of her hands is just too good. Too good.

"Sige, una na ako. Dalhan kita dito ha? Kakatok ako"

"Sige", she answered then waved goodbye.

His smile not leaving his face until he went out to her unit. And when he's outside he danced randomly like a kid would do after eating a multi-flavored ice cream. He stop when he heard someone cleared a throat. He turned and saw her looking at him. Amusement was evident on her eyes.

"Akala ko? Magluluto ka na?"

"Oo nga, kasama 'yon"

"Hmmmm..."

"Para mas masarap"

"Ok", she said not hiding the smile on her face.

Ang ganda ganda.

"Sige luto na ako"

"Sara ko lang 'tong pinto"

"Sige"

"Sige", she said then closed the door.

"SIGE!", she heard him shouted.

Ang kuliiit, she thought. Then whispered: "Sige"

The moment he entered his unit he grabbed his phone then called her mother.
