The next day, he didn't wake up early. He cursed a lot of times before he took a shower. After doing so, he put on his jogging clothes then went out.

He knocked to her door not getting any response. He just smiled.

"Good Morning, gusto mo mag-jogging? Tara?"

/

She looked at her numb legs upon hearing what he said.

Gustong gusto.

She rolled the wheels of her wheelchair to and fro.

"Hindi, ok lang ako", she answered.

"Sigurado ka? Healthy ang pag-jogging lalo na sa cardio", she heard him say.

She smiled bitterly, then shook her head as if he can see her.

"Ayaw mo talaga?"

She didn't respond as she fought the urge to cry.

"Sige, alis na ako"

"Ingat ka", she mumbled.

/

"Ingat ka"

His eyes became bigger, his mouth wide open, then he jumped silently screaming.

Ingat daw ako? Ingat daw ako!

He bit his lips preventing himself from screaming.

The feeling when your mom bought the toy you wish every night to have, or when your mom bought you an ice cream worth ten pesos, or when your 5th grade crush wore the same color of t-shirt you are wearing, or when you and your girlfriend danced all night on your prom, or when you saw a beautiful butterfly flying freely to a garden full of colorful flowers. Simple yet genuine. Simple things where you find happiness. Simple joys. That is exactly how he feels right now. He never knew that a simple "Ingat ka" from someone could make you feel like you are on cloud nine, until now.

Ayaw ko na mag-jogging, dito na lang ako sa pinto mo. Okay na ako, he thought caressing the close door.

He smiled again as her voice echoed through his ears.

"I could kiss you right now, alam mo yun, bru? Ang saya saya ko", he said leaning his body on her door.

"Kingina", he mutteted then kissed the door several times, he  stopped when he heard someone cleared a throat. He turned and saw Mr.Jani looking at him grinning.

"Mahilig ka pala sa pinto?"

"Hehehe. Ang cute po kasi nung pinto. Crush ko", he said rubbing his nape.

"Yung pinto o yung nasa loob pagbukas ng pinto?", he asked raising a brow.

He smiled shyly.

"Sige po. Jogging lang ako", he said then leave.

Mr.Jani was left alone, looking at the close door smiling, before going back to his unit.
