It's moving day. I'm excited. The kids are excited. Bradley's excited too but he just doesn't want to do work. Auggie, Chloe and Ocean are going to my parents today. I figured it would be easier to do it without them running around the new house. My mom is also picking all the dresses for the wedding from the bridal shop today. She's leaving them at her house so Bradley doesn't see the dress before the wedding and that whole thing. We only have two weeks until the wedding. Sarah's coming to help and a few of Bradley's friends.
The first part of the day was easy. Bradley and his six friends unloaded boxes and furniture for the moving truck and put them where they needed to go with me and Sarah started to unpack the kitchen.
Sarah hasn't met Chloe yet and my parents just met her for the first time this morning. Auggie, Ocean and Chloe just got her and now they all get to meet Chloe.
"Hi guys" I say when they walk into the house. They were looking around at what everyone was doing.
"Hi" Auggie and Ocean say.
"Chloe, want to meet some people?" I ask.
"Sure" She says.
"So this is my sister. Her name is Sarah." I say and point to her. She was standing next to me.
"Then that's, Austin, Jake, Peyton, Corey, another Peyton and Jason" I say and point to each of them as I say there names.
"Hi" She says to them.
Everyone says hi or hey back.
About a hour later most of the kitchen boxes were unpacked and Bradley and his friends moved all the boxes and stuff to inside and just left. Sarah was still here. The kids were sitting on the couch in the living room looking at pictures of my phone.
"Do you guys want to set up your rooms?" I ask
"Yeah" They all say and jump up off the couch.
Each ones of them go into there separate rooms. I go with Ocean to help him, Sarah goes with Auggie and Bradley goes with Chloe. He needed to set up her bed. Auggie and Ocean's beds were already set up. We did that yesterday and Chloe's bed just got delivered today so we did that. I walk into Ocean's room and I hear Chloe yell "Where did all these boxes come from?" And sounded so excited.
At adoption places the kids don't have a lot of there own personal stuff. A lot of it is just a few outfits that are from the older kids. And all they toys are just toys they share. She had four boxes when we moved and Auggie and Ocean had like 15 maybe. Now she has as much as them. Me and Bradley went out last week and bought her a bunch of clothes and toys and put them into boxes as a surprise for today.
I helped Ocean unpack. He thought he got all new toys too because all the toys in his boxes he hasn't seen in about three weeks and forgot about them. I hung up his clothes or folded them and put them in the dresser while he played. I just opened one box of toys for him. He had a few more we are going to have to get to.
Here's how the toy situation workers. Each kid has there own toys just to themselves that they keep in there room. Then we have toys that all of them share to be kept in the playroom. And any bigger toys get kept in the playroom. So we had a big pile of toys to be brought downstairs into the playroom. There's just a lot of toys in our house.
We only did a little setting up to there rooms. You know that quote "Rome wasn't built in a day" or something like that. We are going to finish them tomorrow. We just really wanted Chloe's but set up today and start unpacking all the basic living stuff we needed.
