Chapter 49

Today is Auggie, Chloe and Ocean's birthday! I'm seriously so excited. Probably more excited then them. I spent the entire night wrapping presents and Bradley was setting up a trampoline outside. They each got eight individual presents each since Chloe and Auggie are turning eight and Ocean gets eight too even though he is only turning four. I don't want him to be mad that he didn't get a lot of presents like them. He's already mad about this whole baby thing. Ocean was the easiest to shop for though. They each got a new bike because they really needed them and Bradley wanted them to have one. They kids in the neighborhood always invite them to go bike riding but they don't have them so they can't. I didn't think it having a bike is that big of a deal. Then we got three big presents for all three of them to share.

I'm gonna give you a list of everything each kid got.

Auggie:
• Science kit - Growing yours own crystals.
• Slime making kit
• A nerf gun
• A Lego set
• The game of life
• A remote control car
• A telescope
• A bike

Chloe:
• Slime making kit
• Orbeez
• A portable DVD player
• Easy bake oven and some accessories for that
• Beados
• A giant unicorn stuffed animal
• A few movies on DVD for the DVD player
• A bike

Ocean:

• A new baseball bat and mitt
• Fingerling
• A nerf gun
• Lego set
• A scooter
• A few outfits - He told me no clothes but I saw some cute one's and couldn't help myself
• A hatchimal
• A bike

Yeah as you can tell I kinda went over board. We also got them the three big presents. One was a trampoline, an iPad to share and a big old fashioned gun ball machine. Auggie has been begging for one for a few months now. We also got a big box of gum balls to put in this machine. Ocean really wanted a puppy. Then after he said something Auggie and Chloe wanted one. Me and Bradley really talked about it and we said no. We were very back and fourth with it. With a new baby on the way and we just moved into the house it didn't seem like a good idea. We said Goodwin can sleepover for the week.

It's the morning now and all the presents are set up, a big breakfast is ready and now it's time to wake the kids up.

Me and Bradley go upstairs. We went to Auggie's room first since he is normally up. He was up and he was sitting in his bed reading a book.

"Hi Augs. Happy birthday" I say and sit next to him on his bed and give him and hug and kiss on the cheek.

"Happy birthday Auggie" Bradley says and gives him a hug.

"Thank you" He says.

"How does it feel to be eight?" Bradley asks.

"The same" Auggie says. Me and Bradley laugh a little.

"Let's go wake your brother and sister up" I say.

We go into Chloe's room next. She was sleeping. Auggie jumps onto her bed and wakes her up.

"Chloe! Chloe! Wake up! It's our birthday!" He says.

"Ok Auggie. I'm up" She says and sits up.

"Happy birthday Chloe" Bradley says.

"Happy birthday Chlo" I say.

"Thank you" She says.

"Does it feel any different to be eight?" He asks.

"Bradley stop asking stupid questions" I say. Auggie and Chloe giggle.

"No it doesn't" Chloe says and gets out of bed.

Next we went into Ocean's room. He is the most cranky when he wakes up so we saved him for last.

"Oshee. Wake up. It's your birthday" I say kinda quietly.

Auggie goes over and starts poking him.

"It's my birthday!" Ocean says and jumps up right into my arms.

"Yeah it is. Happy birthday" I say and hold him then I give him a kiss on the cheek.

"Happy birthday Oshee" Chloe says to him.

"Happy birthday" Bradley and Auggie say.

"Thank you" Ocean says. "Let's go open presents!" He says to me.

"Ok. Let's go" I say and put him down.

The five of us go downstairs and into the living room where all the presents are. They were in three big piles, one for each of them. Then the two presents they share were to the side.

Chloe's were to the left. Ocean's were in the middle and Auggie's were to the right. They went to there little designated spots and started opening all the presents. They were all happy and giggling. Ocean was screaming about everything he got. I took lots of pictures. Auggie loved the gum ball machine. Bradley is going to set it up in the basement tomorrow. They were all excited about the iPad.

After they opened everything and played with some stuff I told them we had one more surprise outside. Ocean thought it was his puppy. I felt so bad but he loved the trampoline just as much. Actually all three of them did.

Next we are off to set for a big birthday celebration there.
